Even during our period we are responsible for our behavior and our words and actions still hurt those around us. As a woman I personally have learnt to try control my hormone induced emotions. Difficult? Yes, doable? Yes. I'm a Christian and the Bible says do not anger, do not rage, be kind etc. One lady pointed out that the Bible doesn't give us a free pass during our period. We are expected to ALWAYS have self control. I now try practice self control over that time. I also pray leading up to that time for self control. It has helped a lot, I still slip up but it's getting easier as I go along.

If you are upset at someone you can discuss it with them calmly but don't scream at them. Also maybe take some time to calm down, understand what you are feeling, why you are feeling it and also ask yourself if you are overreacting and whether you are upset at the right person or if the feelings are misdirected.

I have a friend who has and breeds dogs and he knows to care extra for his female dogs during their period/heat but just can't seem to understand his mom and sister and other women have difficulties and mood swings too. He knows his dogs behaviour changes and cares more, him mom and sister probably had to hide everything and act normal so he probably thinks human women have no issues or don't have much difficulties. He used to be so mean to his girlfriend. What a jerk.

For me, I don't get angry, but I do get like super sad and always feel like to cry and stuff that can't be helped sometimes, Ik you're supposed to control your anger but for someone already has anger issues it's a little hard to control the all of a sudden type of anger, I mean even murders are forgiven if it's proven to be sudden anger, besides this is completely biological, not some myth. and for godsake stop treating it like that. let me explain. when an egg is released hormone levels get incredibly high and that makes you happy and positive but when it doesn't get fertilized (Idk if this is the right word btw), the hormone levels drop like crazy and then you get your period. being sad or mood swings occur bc of that sudden drop of Estradiol and Progesterone (the hormones I mentioned before). At the end of the day periods vary woman to woman you can't just generalize it and make others look bad just bc if you have it easy, that's not girls' girl behaviour, shouldn't be boys' either. loved the way she explained it to him btw hilarious stuff, (even though he was just acting ) but yeah, these days on social media everybody's acting like they have it worse, it's possible but not by that much of a percentage.

Tbh, as a girl, i feel like a lot of people make periode seem much worse than they are. Yeah, they hurt, and some people have horrible periods, but everybody always uses them as an excuse to not do stuff, and during them will lay around all day. Note, the pain that is cause by that time of the month, looks to be self inflicted due to dietary choices. If you watch Vegan stories, they mention they don't have it. If you watch people on the standard diet or modern diet (High Carb), they mention the pain. If you watch the Carnivore space, they mention its less severe and more manageable. Do note, when people say we have always eaten like this, they only go back a short period of time. Please go further back in time to see how Human's Eat, because it looks like we domesticated ourselves on meat base, while plants were for survival or recreational usage.

To some extent this is true (ex. How caffeine is terrible for period cramps) but it's definitely not just diet-based. My diet doesn't generally change much month-month and yet sometimes I'll have no pain at all and sometimes the pain is so bad that I literally throw up ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It's also person-dependant, bc my mom almost never had period cramps and her diet is way worse than mine. So to say it's a dietary thing comes off as.. uninformed.

We have to do all our day-to-day work even though we are in periods. That's not even an excuse to take some rest from our work. We work with that pain without resting or eating specific foods.
