I've seen labels on plant that said that that plant helps against snoring. I feel that's as ridiculous as dying from them by putting them in your bedroom.

I would like to know who started the rumor. My mom bothered me at the beginning of my plant-keeping with that rumor, telling me not to put them inside my room, to have a limit of plants, etc, etc. Really, who started it? why? and what kind of "knowledge" did they based their idea ?

I have always been frustrated by this "fact" when its brought up. I would be so dead in my home decades over if this was a fact. To be honest, i find i breath better in my home full of plants at night, esp my bedroom. Then even in the best hotel. I believe it is my plants (esp the big mature ones) do help.

I love having the CO2 reader. I just really enjoy seeing what's going on. I can tell when the plants are "eating" a lot. It helps me figure out my light brightness and schedule as well.

In actual fact, plants are respiring at all times. I say all, any gas exchange in plants only occurs when their stomata are open (holes in the undersides of leaves) to allow the gases in an out. During the day when there is also sunlight, they photosynthesise. But they are also doing respiration the whole time too. But yeah, if you're worried about something emitting CO2 while you sleep, kick your partners out of bed or open a window lol
