I only have two Hoyas right now. I have a Hoya wayetii and a Hoya chelsea. The hoya chelsea was the hoya that actually pushed me to order plants online. My local place doesnt have many choices. But i shop all my supplies there! And I have a Hoya wayetii that is special in part because I purchased it from Harli G, and for some reason, I just really enjoy looking at it, checking on it. It inspired me on mixing my own soil. I'm very new to keeping houseplants. And I'm really loving the inspiration that it gives me despite it being so plain. I don't find it particularly beautiful or interesting but something about it makes me want to do and be better. Lol It sounds weird typing it all out, but I really do love the little cutie.
@KittenCece2 жыл бұрын
Also I went to school for botany. And among many other things over those four years, I really felt burnt by the world and by the way I had to push myself to the brink in some courses to get through. 2016 in the USA was the middle of my college experience which may help for some context. It just felt like everything I wanted and was ready to do for the world, our country was rejecting. So the little wayetii inspiring me, also means so much more because it's reminding me what I adore about plants and pollinators. Not to put to much pressure on it or myself, but I feel like it's reminding me of my purpose and my love for science and plant life. And that is a gift that I cherish so deeply that I can't even put it into words

OMG, that H. yvesrocheri is amazing! I think my Hoya interests lie in admiring all of the different shapes. I have a few that I actually got for flowers (easy to flower, and pretty ones that can manage living or thriving in my home), but I have started getting really intreagued by all the different shapes. I love that I have H. serpens, kentiana, linearis, sp. af Burtoni, and then Fungi and Carnosa as my sort of “typical hoya” . But, life means I can only have those that will thrive in my regular home conditions, so not sure if I could even consider that gorgeous H. yvesrocheri or the equally stunning Hoya platycaulis which I am also drooling over.
