I like this topic a lot and it's so critical...so thank you Mr. Mokwena and Junior Khanye for shining a light on it.....and I guess the COSAFA organizers too for bringing in ex pros like Junior to critique. I feel the challenge starts with the attitude towards youth. Clearly, most PSL teams expect the miracle of a ready made footballer without the effort to develop them. This has been spoken about over and over. I feel the junior levels should get significant investment and ex pros need to be involved a lot more. Then also, the failure to build long lasting brands with the teams themselves is a problem. I saw a post of the log from 1992 or there about and only four teams or so still exist/play PSL football from then... Amazulu, Chiefs, Pirates and Sundowns. So that's another issue because we're always starting afresh with the Gallants, Sekhukhunes, AM etc..... So whilst a solution is being developed, that is another important aspect

I feel it's about focusing on developing players who are self sufficient and tactically adaptable. Because most youngsters don't play in the top level so having youngsters who are strong mentally and technically will help. Because most young players would have to adapt to systems that they don't find familiar right now. South Africa has to put more support into their football and clubs so they can develop good players consistently. But for me, we need develop players who are strong mentally and are adaptable

KC-Vilakazi OP-Mofokeng MSFC-Lethlaku All these players were bought when they were already developed, only Supersport and Stellenbosch have been consistently developing youngsters and not buying already developed players. There is no country in Africa that is as technically gifted as South Africa, if we were to really prioritise our development and recruitment, I really think our World Cup dream would be realistic. for example a player like Aubaas was discovered at the age of 28, what have our scouts been looking at???

The problem is our coaches, they are not brave enough to put this kids in the team, believe it or not if it was not Reviero forget Abt the cocomelons nkota, rele and the one at the back. Look at the Black label team he opted to play more youngsters than the senior players and if it was a SA coach he was going to play the senior players

You are on point. Nabi is using more of the young players from the development, but former SA players are criticizing Nabi for using the young players.

These players aren't properly developed. If we wanna use them, I think the development should be handled by people who are competent enough, because these players underperform in the first team.

With average players, average Coach, then expect average performances
