I would have to disagree. Sure, if you're playing a CQB game, sights might be a waste of time. However, games played over larger areas and time frames often require a more measured approach where the accuracy of first shot matters over a distance significantly greater than typical rushed cqb game. I would suggest sights really can make a difference here.
@chrislodge87563 жыл бұрын
If that is truly your opinion on this subject then you are missing out on a whole lotta performance from both yourself and your airsoft guns!
@ChasWG3 жыл бұрын
Obviously you haven't been playing this game for very long. Or you are playing with a gun that is incredibly crappy that nothing but a new gun would fix it. You are completely in the wrong here. A well aimed red dot sight works very well for airsoft. I have had many experiences where I had to hit the opposing player in the first or second shot or be shot myself. Had I followed your idea (which I assume is walking your BBs onto the target) then I would have lost those engagements. For people to make these blanket type statement such as yours makes it incredibly obvious you don't know what you are talking about.

We are brand noobs and I prefer the red dot to the iron sight. I don't usually need it for closer targets, but find it super useful for longer ranges. Also, I have taken your advice on shooting with both eyes open. It definitely has improved both my aiming and my range of sight!! AWESOME TIP👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💥🔥 THANKS

Great video and I run a red dot on my M4. But I would add one other con to RDS is the obstruction of the sight housing itself when scanning downrange for targets. Overall though, RDS is the way to go especially if you play semi only. Magnified scopes are a different story for sniper rifles.

as paintballer i prefer red dots in airsoft. in paintball i dont need em but as distances are greater in airsoft it is beneficial to improve accuracy on first shot. Due to distance differance it takes longer time to correct aim in airsoft than in paintball. as cqb player i dont have time to align ironsights. snipers have all the time in the world to calculate croshairs on trajectory.

Haven't watched yet but YES red dots are the way to go. It's a single reference point you have to line up, you can get on target faster. But more importantly, in airsoft you need to track your BBs as they fly through the air, iron sights obstruct your vision, while red dots let you see all around your target.

You actually reminded me that what I have is a "holographic sight" rather than a red dot one. It gets the job done even if it's a brandless chinese made one, and they also provided a protection for the front lense.
