I could never expect a traditional dentist to understand how root canals negatively affected my health. After my 2 root canals I went through years of unexplainable health issues. It took me a while to pin down the only reasonable cause and I am 95% sure that the root canals were the source of my issues. Never get a root canal but, your body your choice.

100% agree. I had 3. Autoimmune type problems started after the first. Severe dry eyes, low white cell count, bladder infections, throat infections, rashes, severe itching. After 10 years of this 2 of the root canals developed severe painful abscesses and had been removed as urgent surgical extractions and I got the last one out last year. Dentists ruined my health, my career and I lost all my child bearing years. Absolute poison. Please if you read this never get root canals. Slowly getting my health back.

I've had three and ended up with arterial blockage problems though there were some other things that I'm sure contributed to that. I remember reading a study where they did an autopsy on people with root and they found in 100% of the subjects had infections equal or worse than botulism. On one of my root canals I went back to the local dental board and ask for my money back because he botched the job up. The dentist was like 80 years old and should have retired. The reason I'm actually posting right now is my son came back for the dentist and they said he needs a root canal on one of his back teeth. I said based on my experience if they do it the same way as they did when I was younger then I wouldn't do it again I would look for alternative options.

I fail to see how any of this is "natural". You would think that by now the technology would be there to do a tooth transplant using a real tooth with healthy roots. I really am curious why nothing has changed in this industry for 20 some years.
@JS-ob4oh
@JS-ob4oh 4 ай бұрын
Nothing has changed for more than 100 years. Root canals were being done as far back as 1920s. All they did today is to refined old techniques and invent new diagnostic tools in order to use the established methods. Why no change? Money. Dentistry today is not about best possible care for patients, but a business on how to sell to the most number of people who will need to comeback again, and again for re-treatment. The ADA claims "majority of root canals lasts a lifetime", but gives no data to support that nor define "lifetime". For example, if someone who is 65 years old gets root canal and dies at 79, that is a "lifetime" of 14 years. And since the older you are the more likely you will develop some sort of teeth problems and need something like root canals, does that mean "majority" of people who get root canals don't last 30 years because most of them would had died before the root canal fails?

Unfortunately I find myself in a situation were I have one tooth with advanced resorption and another with a severe ache that has significantly subsided but not back to normal. Neither root canals or implants seem like very good options to me. I don’t want a dead tooth in my mouth but neither do I want a metal or ceramic screw in my jaw, although ceramic sounds slightly better than titanium. I have decided to follow a regenerative dentists protocol for now in hopes that my body, teeth, can heal themselves given the proper support. This video gives me doubts about going the implant route since this woman doesn’t seem like a real patient and looks like she is reading from a script the way she looks slightly to the left of the camera, and sounds like she is making a marketing video.

Everyone is selling something aren’t they, but this was not scripted and it is a real patient who got a ceramic implant. I understand your feelings but if it is a tooth you need/want, what else are you going to do? Bridges damage teeth. Dentures are not functional. The implant is the lesser of all the “evils” i you leave a missing tooth space all your teeth will shift. marylandholisticdentist.com/what-if-i-do-not-get-dental-implants-replace-teeth/

My dentist gave me those two options, but I don't have the expertise to make that decision. All I know is that my tooth is infected all the way to the root and is causing immense pain. I don't see why I'd want to keep a tooth that is infected. It seems like getting it extracted would prevent any future infection. Not to mention, if I got a root canal, I essentially have a dead tooth in my mouth. At that point, saving your real tooth doesn't really seem important. What I do know is that when the dentist told me my options, he seemed more confident about extraction versus a root canal.

My opinion only, but I believe infection and/or pain can be held 'at bay' with anti-inflammatory foods, in raw form, incorporated into the diet......garlic, ginger, capsaison in red pepper powder form, etc. Eating too much processed foods will likely trigger or aggravate the pain.

It's the potential for bacteria accumulation, in an essentially dead, closed off part of the mouth, that could be the problem. A study i read about, on cancer tutor, mentioned practically all the Swiss women subjects testing positive for breast cancer, had previously had root canals performed. Read about the dentist who performed 23 root canals on a single women patient, unnecessarily. So malpractice is another issue here.
