Are RV door locks junk?

Behind that plate with the 2 screws is a small linkage rod that connects the red lever to the actual dead bolt itself...My wife called me today and said she locked the dead bolt but now the red lever just spins freely. My 2 screws backed out far enough for the linkage rod to disconnect..Again pretty easy fix but just another little aggravation....The 2 little Phillips screws should have had Loctite on them when they were installed OVERSEAS !!!! But I guess that would be too much trouble... ANYWAY...USE BLUE LOCTITE ON THOSE 2 SCREWS AND YOUR TROUBLES ARE OVER
