I'm currently a sap driver, but when I lost my last trucking job I went to barber college and graduated, I came back to trucking so I could fix my license and keep it but if I start to feel like this ish isn't worth it I'm going to just cut hair, I'm glad I went a got another trade.

I haven't been in the game long, but I have a buddy who was willing to hire me on to his company with one of his trucks on a dedicated lane. I agreed to pay my own insurance. This was my only option after 3 at fault minors. I know it's not the same as SAP, but I hope this helps. ✌🏿

I feel where bro coming from too, but that's not everyones case. I have been blessed to find 3 great jobs while being in the sap program. First job was a local dump truck job who did my RTD for me. Second was a otr company that actually paid well but had some shiesty practices, 3rd job which is who I work for now is a local company hauling dry freight that's pays pretty decent for a local company. I bring home $800-1300 a week give or take, and this is all while being in the sap program

@@theuglytruth4303 well that's your opinion brotha, but I know for a fact people are not making 1300 a week at a warehouse, maybe 600-700 but not 1300, and the 800 a week I make is when I do sprinter van runs for the company. The 1300 a week is all semi work on a 1099. That's good money to me.

Royalane logistics hires sap , but they don’t even treat the regular drivers right so I know the sap drivers getting skewed

Drivers got to do their research and know it’s a official job and he is right the Companies that do hire Sap drivers are like Very Bad Record labels with bad 360 Deals 😂

CFI will help you through SAP and hire you.. but you won't get a lot of miles consistently.. but they do the follow-ups

Honestly, buddy isn’t all the way wrong or right bc everyone situation is different. Experience & other factors like (accidents & dac report) is put into consideration too . Being SAP already narrows your job opportunities, having no experience & a shady record can make it nearly impossible.

I was a former driver for sweet express, they were decent not the best. Only thing I didn’t like, you had to ring a door bell to talk to dispatch. Someone answer you tell em who you looking for and they come out Drivers no entry. They must of had an bad experience it’s like that 🤷🏽‍♂️

@@theuglytruth4303 only if you have not done your initial drug test (RTD Return-To-Duty) … you fine if you just have to do follow-ups (6 random drug test)
