I think that Wilder and in fact most Blades fans will be hoping that Palace's results start to pick up - that way, they won't be recalling Rak Sakyi in January.

The Christmas period is a really rough run of games for us. From November 29th through to 1st January we play Sunderland twice, West Brom twice, and Burnley. If we're still in the top two after that then you have to say it's all in our hands. On the other hand if we lose those then it'll all be about how we've been found out.

Is there such a thing as comfortably edging a game by a very fine margin? Only one shot on target throughout the match by both sides! That's how it felt. United celebrated late into the night :)

But if you've seen any of the SU matches, if the Campbell shot had been saved then Sheff Utd would have created more and more chances until they scored. Then once the goal is scored Sheff Utd just sit back and accept the 1-0 win.

This has all the feel of the last time we (Blades) got promoted to the Prem but we need to strengthen in January. It’s a shame we couldn’t hang onto Cameron Archer…

Archer wasn't as good as he was said to be 4 goals in a season, sell brewster/keep onè, keep campbell as 1st with keith moore and look for a replacement for keith money from brewster should be seen as a loss anyway he is worth around 2m now compared to the 20 we paid which is the only reason we have kept him to try get him to be worth it and he is another paul ifle all over again shocking morgan gibbs white and iliman have been our biggest losses in terms of what we should have done with gibbs which was fork the money out and iliman well thats was his bad choice which isn't going to well now aye

@ I don’t know the situation with Brewsters contract but who’s going to buy him? He’s also Uniteds top earner…. Gibbs White was never our player and Ndiaye chose to leave and so United cashed in which was the right thing to do. He’s now doing well at Everton earning top money 🙄 Archer at championship level is easily 20+ striker…

Maybe or someone at bottom half of championship eitherway worst cut our losses in a few years we will recoup the losses through not paying someone like 30k a week or whatever it is for sitting on a bench 3 years would love that job me and i can certainly play better than him aswell it really showz when all of our youngers blow him out the water

I’d rather sign BBD than Cam Archer, really, for a promoted team. Archer has been a bit disappointing post Boro. He’s not the finished article yet. Experience up front in the Premier League is essential. Archer is not quite ready yet.

Sheffield United never really needed to get out of second gear. In the return game, as the home team Wednesday will be expected to be more open and at least try to attack, this will give United more opportunities to score more goals.

Really think there's a few teams, Leeds, Sunderland, Middlesboro, Burnley at their best are all better than Sheff Utd. However success in the Championship is all about consistency and SU have the great recipe for consistency, to win almost all their matches 1-0 or 2-0. Basically the defence is fantastic, just don't look like conceding most games and then there's a few players with top quality who can score a goal from nothing. So even when Sheff Utd have an off day or don't play well, they still have this knack of winning. The strange thing that the SU attack isn't clicking yet and I expect this brand new team to improve throughout the season.

Our defence is immense, anel and souttar are too good for the championship but I still feel we are abit weak in central midfield and up top. If the back 4/5 stays injury free all season we should be there or there abouts come the end of season because we don't really concede

The league is actually a very good league because it’s so unpredictable. Weird results, etc all make for interesting times. The premier is much harder but it’s robotic. It’s all about money and very wealthy owners.
