What about air to water devices? Desalination factories perhaps? (Energy efficiency problems...idk if they can get a 🚀 rocket out to space I'm sure they can figure this one out if they care about human lives that is)

Arizona doesn't have the natural resources to sustain such a large population in the long run.

is the American west too populated than it should be?

The desert states are the big question marks. Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, and Nevada will have problems if their populations keep expanding and they don't find new solutions. The mountain and coastal states should be ok barring some megadrought.

Given our current rate of water consumption I would say it’s unsustainable

@@keeparizonawild156 Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, and Utah are the most vulnerable. These states are extremely dry. I would include Wyoming but barely anyone lives there.

I live in East Pinal county, where the water is. Nobody wants to be here, Maybe when you fools realize that there is an entire area of Aridzona between Tucson and Phoenix with plenty of water they will think about the biggest screwup in this states history. Building thousands of homes without any real water source.

Flood death valley from the Pacific Ocean. Make the largest inland sea in the USA. Millions of acres in the middle of 140 temps , the evaporation would change the rainfall in the entire south west.

That would be extremely fascinating to know the ecological implications of doing something like that.
