I have 3, the CS, XC and P. I carry the CS everyday. They are worth the money but they don’t shoot themselves. You have to train with that platform just like any other. I prefer Staccato over Glock or CZ and I own 3 of each one of those platforms. I chose Staccato because of personal preference, to me they are a better option for me and I was willing to pay the price. They are reliable, rugged and run any ammo you put in it.

People who complain about the price of a staccato are usually those who are used to buying springfields and Glocks and have not gotten into the race gun category. Once they do, they will see staccatos are on the cheaper side of the race gun category. Shooting them and seeing how they are made will open the eyes to it. Everyone will shoot better with them than they do other guns 99% of the time. If you are forced to use a firearm in a self defense scenario, you want every single tactical advantage in your favor that you can possibly get. So if you shoot better with it, does the price really matter? It is way more expensive that a staccato to retain a lawyer to defend the fact that you can’t shoot your micro compact hellcat as well as a staccato, so you accidentally shot something or someone that you didn’t intend. In a gunfight, your fine motor skills go out the window and you need every advantage you can. Enter staccato. They have taken the race gun precision and created a duty-ready version that is perfect for self defense. That said, if you happen to shoot something else better than a staccato, then go for it. Keep training and save the money for more ammo. But most people can shoot the staccato better. But people will by 4-5 Glocks and change the trigger, grip stipple, sights etc and end up paying thousands overall for their Glocks and don’t complain, when they could have used that money for a staccato, ammo and a training course.

“Is a staccato worth the money” It depends on if you value what it has to offer. For me, a guy who just wants a reliable, accurate and well made gun the answer is no. A cz, Glock, or smith and Wesson etc are more valuable to me because I have my cz to carry, and the extra $2200 can go to ammo, holster, light and time to train. But for someone else it might be well worth the money

No chance they are worth it!!! You can buy a scar h for the price of a 100yr old design handgun that happens to be chambered in 9mm. Yes, it's hand fitted and has a few added features, but stacatto is making a KILLING on profits on each pistol. I'd bet they cost at most 100 to 200$ to make, and that's generous, so their profits got to be 10k %..lol. if a scar can be manufactured cheaper than a handgun, something is wrong. The only way I can make sense of it is if each handgun gets 40 or more hours of hand polishing,fitting. And I guarantee that's not happening.
@sealeystrategics9915
@sealeystrategics9915 11 күн бұрын
You said they are not worth it to buy a scar, and turn around and said the scar is cheaper to make, But the scars cost about the same or more than a base OEM Staccato C2. You can just the same build a rifle chambered in your favorite scar model for under 1k. So in reality FN is making just the same killing on profits as Staccato my friend, so what’s the difference??
@NCshooter1213
@NCshooter1213 11 күн бұрын
@sealeystrategics9915 I didn't say to buy a scar. I'm making a point that if a scar h can be made an sold for the same price as a handgun, then common sense would say the handgun is either overpriced or has some major manufacturing costs. The only argument ever made about the stacatto is it's hand fitting. So if hand fitting is what's driving the cost up then each pistol must be getting 40hrs of hand fitting or more and thats not the case at all. I'm not saying the stacatto is a bad pistol. Both I have shot were super smooth. But they were in no way 4k$ smooth. My main point is about manufacturing. Again when a scar is similarly priced to a 9mm handgun something is off. I never said "don't buy a stacatto buy a scar instead" I'm comparing price ranges. Look at what 3500$ can get you in the gun world compared to stacatto. For 3500 you can get a full sized semi auto rifle with new engineering incorporated. Then stacatto sells a 1911 style handgun chambered in 9mm that has a smooth action for the same cost?!?! That's very strange. I would bet anything if people seen stacattos books and saw what their profit margins are for each pistol it would be shocking. Firearms are expensive enough without artificially inflating them. And the "difference" I'm referring to is again manufacturing. It's obvious a scar has more material involved in its production since it's a larger item. Brake it down to cost. The cost of material of something like a scar is more than any handgun. 7lbs of metal vs 1lb. Inherently the profits on a scar will be less than the stacatto. I'm not hating on you man I'm just saying their about double what they should be in price

@NCshooter1213 I totally understand what you are saying now, But you have to understand business, that’s just how business is, it’s the same argument made with cars, why spend $200k plus on a 2 seater car car when you can spend 70-80k on a truck or SUV that gives you more and costs less? Supply and demand plays a big factor.. my point is, to you it might not make sense, but for others they have their reasons why it makes sense for them. We all have our own point of view and priorities.. There are some things I refuse to spend a lot of money on, but guns and cars I have my own personal reason why I would spend money on certain things and not others. So for your mindset, reasonings and priorities it’s not worth it, But obviously staccato sell a lot guns, so obviously some of think it is for our own reasons.

@foicfoic7443 Well, as a business owner of 12 years, i am very familiar with how things work. Just look around at other manufacturers of handguns. Stacatto stands out as one of the most expensive. You mentioned r&d, but the 1911 is a 100yr old design. Not much r&d needed. Maybe your not familiar with brand loyalty. Ppl pay for the name more than anything. I also have a close family member who owned a gun store for 30yrs and that taught me about markup on special brands

@mooktemas6800 I have 4 Bul Armory pistols with the oldest one having over 12k rounds and issues. I had all of them so the DLC coating wasn't an issue also the price point was a huge selling point for me since I planned on getting my my guns ported and customized in other ways.

Have you shot the ultra budget 2011 Staccato clones like the Girsan 2311 or the Tisas MAC 9 DS? Would they be good for a range shooter looking to get their first 2011 style pistol? Would you get one for your wife, for example? Or is saving up for a BUL, Springfield or Platypus a better choice? Or is there no comparison and it should be buy Staccato or keep saving for one?

I understand people will buy what they can afford. But to call any gun entry level when it's $1k or more imo is arrogant and to brag. A pistol can eventually costs $1M, and someone will say it's entry-level SMH. Just buy what you can afford if it fits your needs
@sealeystrategics9915
@sealeystrategics9915 9 күн бұрын
I don’t think calling a 3k pistol an entry level is being arrogant or bragging, I don’t think you understood the context, when it comes to high end 2011/ race guns, the staccato’s are at the bottom of the price point compared to the higher end guns like the Wilson combats and Atlas’s to name a few which are in the 7k plus range.. Thats how a 1k pistol like the Springfield’s are and the 2k plus staccato’s are called entry level..

@@sealeystrategics9915Oh, I didn't know that. Thank you for informing me. I've never handled a 1911 or 2011. Do you usually carry with the safety off or on? I remember watching KZbin videos by a few different content creators and reading a lot of the comments debating whether a typical safety (as opposed to a grip safety) was good to have on a modern pistol as people might forget to switch the safety off on the pistol when suddenly finding themselves in a gunfight. What are your thoughts on this? Are typical safety switches good or bad in this modern age of firearms?

@roseivory8496 I personally am not a fan of external safeties on carry pistols, I’ve talked about this in some of my earlier videos. But, the placement and feel of the 2011 safety is the one exception I have for pistols with external safeties.. When I draw my staccato my thumb naturally and effortlessly rest on top and drops the 2011 safety. It’s just perfectly placed that is don’t affect my draw speed and accuracy.. And when it comes to the grip safety some people combat that buy either permanently pinning the grip safety down or use a temporary band or some sort to hold the grip safety down. But honestly I have never once had an issue with drawing my 2011 and the grip safety not disengage. I can draw and fire my 2011 just as fast as my Glock 19 or other pistols with not external safety..

@@sealeystrategics9915 Thanks for replying! That's good to know that the Staccato has such exceptional ergonomics. I remember back in the day when you were first teaching your wife to shoot and not be afraid of guns and you told her the Glock you used to run would never go off on it's own. Only when someone pulled the trigger. Apparently, she had been worried that the gun might go off without the trigger being pulled. How did you explain to your wife that with the Staccato that you now use that this is not necessarily the case anymore, if the safety is off. For example, if someone trips and drops it while out on the range or if the safety is left off and it's in a bag and the bag gets dropped on the floor because someone in the family didn't realize there was a firearm in it. How did she respond? What safety measures or procedures did you put in place for your family to follow to prevent any such accidental discharges?
@sealeystrategics9915
@sealeystrategics9915 13 күн бұрын
I can honestly say in over 20 years of multiple types of training courses and events and real life situations I’ve been through I have not personally or seen anyone accidentally drop a loaded firearm, I’ve seen plenty of dropped magazines, but never the firearm, I’ve seen bad guys running from police drop weapons. And as for my 2011’s, when not in a shooting position the safety is engaged. So let’s say I draw from holster and before I can get my hands in my shooting grip the gun slips and falls, I would not have disengage the safety yet, the only way I would be able to disengage the safety is when I have a good grip and my support hand gets ahold of the gun, my thumb don’t drop the safety until around the same time my support hand gets into its grip position. So even if my staccato was in a bag and dropped, the safety would still be on.
