I guess I’ll attempt to clarify the apostrophe s after order in the second meme (since all three of the reactors commented on it) as a sort of grammar nerd. It’s basically a contraction shortening ‘order has’ into ‘order’s’, so the full sentence would read out “That moment when the JetPens order has arrived…” I do agree that it would be simpler just to not have the apostrophe s but then the last word would be ‘arrives’ instead of ‘arrived’ so it would change the tense and when it says ‘arrived’ it implies that the order is already there but if it said ‘arrives’ that would mean it isn’t there yet. So anyway, there’s my explanation of why there’s an apostrophe s there. Thank you * bows *

Oh my god, my mom's work had this janitor named Hahn (or at least that's how it's pronounced?), one time she opened the supply closet and he was in there, but kept quiet, crept around the corner and spooked her by saying "SUPPLIES!", which he knew with his Vietnamese accent would sound like MAYBE he had said "surprise!", but you know it was on purpose to fatten the joke. I mean this guy looked at a picture of our family cat on my mom's desk and was like "Mmm-mmmMmm, look goooOOod, that good dinna!" to troll my mom. Dude was actually like reading Murakami and Pynchon on break and was just goofing on people non-stop because he had to be a janitor for whatever reason.

In my former office, we had drawers where you could lock away personal items, like wallets and bags. That's where I kept my pretty and personally purchased stationery, under lock and key. All the office stock items were on the desk in plain sight, nothing ever went missing from that bunch.

I get it when Mom made us use the Bic ballpens. So when I started working, I bought my own pretty pens and notebooks and other stuff I liked. Fast forward to when my kids were school-age. "No you can't use mommy's pencils/pens. Here's a (generic-brand) pencil/pen".

My scissors have that tendency to disappear into another plane of existence then back again into this reality and then when I look away for 5 minutes it's gone again. This is the reason why I keep it imprisoned in a cabinet or cupboard where it couldn't escape anymore.

Yes. My Twsbi has never failed to start. My Bics have never reliably started. I tried to like one that was in my desk at work, but it was so unreliable (starting and skipping) that I left it behind in a communal pen bucket to become someone else's problem. (I don't have the heart to throw away a pen unless it's actually empty or beyond saving. This was before I found JetPens' "how to revive a pen" video.) Don't know if someone managed to use it up or just threw it away when they couldn't get it to work.

The 3rd meme was my definite favorite. The 4th was a big middle school mood as I always had pencils and people always wanted them. There was one time where someone asked for a pencil and I said sure, and then I looked to see that my classmates just passed that same pencil all the way across the classroom. I was just shocked that either they asked for a pencil from me specifically or that literally no one in that entire chain had a spare pencil on them. I never gave away my stuff ever again.

My friend had a mechanical pencil that had lead/graphite as thick as the ones in wooden pencils. You could also sharpen it. I found it so cool

I do the exact same thing as Miriam. I'm still in school tho now it's online. I used to take only one good quality (but not my favorite) item from each category so that if someone wants to borrow I can say I don't have any spare stationary cuz once someone borrows it it NEVER comes back

My parents use those 10 pack for one Euro ballpoint pens for decades - then my Jetpens order arrived with a bunch of gelpens. My dad took one of my 5 papermate inkjoy gel pens and tried it.Them I had only 4 left. But it was worth it. It’s now his holy grail pen because it writes so smooth. Even my mom was like „what?! There are pens where you don’t have to push hard on the paper to write???“ Well, now there’s only 3 left… (my parents are 79 and 80 and never wrote with a gel pen before)
