I’m coming to Germany next year as an international student. After that I’ll be able to get into a university in Germany and can “student work” be counted in that 5 years to get German citizenship or not?

you cant apply for citizenship without already having the permanent Residency ... so if that is the case if you studied for 4 years and applied for the permanent it will be as 2 years so you will have to work for one year to be 3 years !

why not? I have not seen this on the official website. Where is stated?

If one person's studies for 3 or 4 years doing his bachelor on a student study visa. As he is a Non EU student, after his study, he will be able to apply for citizenship as one is not allowed to apply for citizenship while having study visa ( told in this video ). Now, after his study, when he changes his study visa to work visa or any other visa, he will be able to apply for citizenship. But the Question that comes to my mind is... When the student changes to work visa, Q.1: Will his study years be counted in permanent residence permit which will be used to apply for citizenship further? ...... Beacause in these study years with study visa, student works legally to bare his living expenses and pays taxes to the government. Q.2: If the study years are counted in citizenship when he changes from study visa to work visa, Question is.... Will those study years be counted fully OR Will they be halved and then counted towards the citizenship i.e any (3 or 5 or 8 years) ?? These two questions are for NON EU STUDENTS and i am asking according to the new law... Please respond.

The whole point by the lawyer is, once you switch from student visa to work permit, the study years count fully towards nationality.

Hello, I did my masters in Germany and I started working part time in my educational field as soon as my studies started. So I studied for 2 years and worked part time for those 2 years. And I paid taxes during these 2 years. I graduated and continued working full time in the same company. I am still working there. What happens in my situation? I have been paying taxes in Germany for 3 years now. Can I apply for permanent residency now? and do these 2 part time 1 full time work years count?

Is it possible to acquire knowledge about economics, international politics and geography entirely in English in German libraries, or is it necessary to know German for this knowledge?

There are English programs on these subjects in Germany. Just do a simple Google search, and you will find one.

Hi I have worked as working student software developer 3 years. Now I get Blue Card for full time job. My question is will my student work experience will count during application of permanent residence permit? For example 3 years working student experience = 1. 5year experience + 1 year Blue card = 2.5 year.. Will it be like that?
@davidadade8 ай бұрын
Exactly as you calculated it. It is interesting because for nationality, once you get a work permit, the student years are counted fully.
