Yes, federal law requires that they be shipped without any fluids OR if they do, the truck driver would need a Haz-Mat endorsement on his CDL to deliver tractors. The government feels it job is to jerk everybody around.

I just looked one over at a local TS in Battle Creek, Mi. I noticed a line hanging down super close to the rear tire. I chatted with summit over that weekend with some other questions. Yes, they actually messaged me back on a weekend. The following Monday I sent a photo of that line hanging down. They said they would show their service department. 30 min later they replied it wasn’t right and asked for the location of this tractor. I provided them with the information and they said they would send a service tech out. I stopped back in Wednesday to look at it again. Boy was I surprised to see that line was tucked up and out of the way. They had the issue resolved in less than 48 hours. Pretty impressive. Leaning hard on picking one of these up.

I think they'll do fine, they just have to have the tractor community have a paradigm shift about buying a tractor from a big box store versus a dealer. It's an uphill climb, but if they hang on and deliver a good product with good customer service, they'll eventually do good.

It's a Solis H24 (also made by ITL) styled and optioned to Summit's specs. Both are copies of the Mahindra Max 25XL, and all three use the same Mitsubishi engine and other major components. Options and styling differentiate them. Summit themselves has acknowledged that there are 18 SCUT brands, but only 8 manufacturers behind them. Like back in the day when Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury all shared the same underpinnings from the same suppliers, factories, etc

Both the Solis and Summit are heavy for their size, and ITL is one of the largest tractor makers in the world. I think that they have the largest tractor plant in the World in India and it looked very modern. I just wonder on both brands is: parts availability and service under Warranty and beyond By the way, Summit specs their model from Solis with a special suspension seat, self leveling loader and Rim Guard filled rear tires.

Never seen an emax Mahindra that big and most of them had a mix of yanmar and Mitsubishi engines. Most of them are smaller thanthe max series. I had a Mahindra max24 that was made by Mitsubishi AG and is not the same as this summit tractor. That summit tx25 is way bigger. The engine could possibly be the same as what my max24 was tho.

I think the reason that there is no hydraulic fluid is the tractor is shipped dry. The dealer is supposed to “Prep” the tractor including fluids. Home Depot is infamous for not prepping equipment they sell. Small things like taking off protective film is a clue. Summit has been looking for dealers across the country from what I gather from watching various videos.

I looked at one at a farm store in Texas recently. The standard features make it really attractive. I thought the build quality was as good as the big name brands but at a lower price point. I'm cautious about the network for parts and service but otherwise, I really like the looks of it for a compact tractor. I think every brand is subject to failures but the method for remedy should be considered. I'm holding off for now but seriously considering one.

I'm sure these tractors would serve a small property owner well but one thing to keep in mind is that any initial cost savings (lower purchase price) would automatically be lost due to a lower resale value compared to well known and proven brands. Not to mention I can still get parts for a couple JD machines I have that are 40+ years old. Good luck in the future with these off brands.

I bought a Solis H24. Made by the same people, the Summit is one more horse power, and has a few more extras. But they look identical all but the color and mine was $2000 less. Our HD now sales the Summit as well. I bought my Solis from a lawn equipment dealer that does service on site local to me. I'd probably be a little hesitant to buy one from HD. I like the fact that just up the road, I can get it serviced if needed. I love the tractor so far. I've really only got two complaints. The 3 point lift is limited for height capabilities. I can use a 5 ft bush hog, but can't lift it very high. I tried to use a rock rake recently and it wont lift high enough to get it off the ground. My potato plow barley clears the ground as well, and hits tge ground during travel. I've got a few ideas to possibly remedy the situation. The other thing is that sometimes the front bucket aggressively slams down instead of going down smoothly. It usually only does it a few times then clears up. Other than these few things, to be a small tractor, it's a work horse and has done everything I've thrown at it.

ITL manufacturers for Summit and Solis is the USA brand for ITL. The engine is the S3L2 Mitsubishi engine used for at least 20 years in compact tractors and pretty bullet proof. The Solis has Interstate battery, Bosch electronics, Donaldson filtration, KYB hydrostat and more top of the line components. As for parts, Carswell OEI is the parts support for Solis. Carswell is very well regarded and been in parts since about 1948. Parts are readily available. The dealer network is growing for Solis and Summit is going boxstore online business model. Solis is bringing larger models to market. Yanmar is also a staker holder in ITL and are involved in the quality control.

IT has 2 ranges on the aux transmission and hydrostat on the main. IT does not have gears otherwise. Has front hitch, not drawbar. Seems at this time a little pricey. The dealer put way more hours on the tractor testing their repairs than I did at home. Do I believe in a dealer network? Yes I do, and it will be interesting to see what equipment dealers Summit partners with for service. Do I believe in JD? Absolutely not. My local dealer could not repair my tractor. After 8 times, I finally had to show them what to fix and then the tractor was ok. I sold it. Resale value??? Resale value??? Yes, I sold a 1 year old JD2025R for more than the Summit cost new, but I took a substantial hit on a 1 year old tractor. There is really only one advantage that I can see with JD over any other brand currently on the market and that is their mower quick attach capability - really fantastic. I have an 8 year old MF 1736 and it has been in the shop ZERO times in 8 years. I'm glad to see some affordable SCUT folks come along in the marketplace.

Am I the only one that thinks the axles look strange? Those are not axle housing. Those are the actual axles. Look more like a front wheel drive axle. Most tractors axle housing comes all the way out to the wheels supporting the weight in the torque of the tractor. This just has the axle sticking out that far? How good could that be?.

@@robertstambaugh8242 All I can Tell you is to look at how other brands are made. Too have that much axel sticking out unsupported doesn't seem like a very good thing. The proof will be in the pudding on how good these tractors hold up. Keep in mind manufacturers often use its customers for quality control to keep developmental costs down. You won’t know if you bought a POS or not until you’ve seen how durable it is, difficulty getting warranty work done and buying repair/replacement parts. Personally, I’d like to hear from those who bought the tractor and see their experiences before buying.

That machine is well under $10,000 and using that savings if this is your budget you're getting every maintenance for lawn and garden imaginable...plus just plug the item in your garage to a regular Wall outlet. Who said Home Depot services them? No one. Have fun waiting months for any service on a Kubota or Deere. Deere was sued because they dont release any manuals and make every customer bring their tractor into a dealership for repair due to the contracts they have with them. Catastrophic tractor issues are 1 in 1000 the rest are replacing seals, filters, fluid ect. Which any tractor owner can do for themselves.

In fact the end of taillights on the orizontal end doesn’t touch the fender. I can point out many other things but I will stop here. The price is too high. Not a fan of Mistubishi. I recall all the Mistubishi tractors, cars, trucks you could buy for next to nothing because of parts issues (especially diesel parts). That kept me from buying a mahindra and would also keep me away from summit or solis. Lots of nice standard features though but realize there is no dealer network, near zero resale. Wonder if it has dual fuction hydraulics? Kioti and Kubota do, JD does not. The quick attach looked proprietary and not standard qa (Deere does proprietary stuff also). Loader come off easy, quickly? Summit tractor probably not for me but really does have alot of standards that are options on others.

I just bought a mahindra 1626 with loader and backhoe, I am waiting to get it delivered right now because I had the dealer install rear remotes so I can run a hydraulic top link. Just the remotes cost me 1600.00 dollars more.this summit has the same mitsubishi engine mine has. Bottom line, I don't care what tractor you buy red, green, orange, white, or rainbow painted you are getting a tractor that is made from parts " globally sourced ". That's the world we live in. I own a 1958 ford powermaster deisel, no loader,no backhoe, Armstrong power sterring that is why I just bought a new mahindra and I am one EXITED old man !!!!!!

(and it's just an old classic cool tractor). My daughter has horses and we could use a more versatile tractor to shove around manure and so forth the B is just not versatile enough for our needs and I get nervous about that spinning open flywheel every time I run it. So it's time to upgrade..wondering if something like the Summit is worth the investment or spending more money on a 'name' brand like John Deere or Kubota and get the established service and support.
