How Boutcha Hank, and Hey Tony : first off I watch both your Chanels and they are great ! now I don't know if y'all remember the Ford 8n or 9n them tractors were in that horsepower range way back then and were a very good farm tractor , just like these 2 -25s you have Tony! great video and great tractors !

We've had our T25 for 2 years now and love it. We have 20 acres of mostly forested land and find it to be well suited to the uneven terrain and everything we work on. We use it to primarily to scrape surface dirt/debris, spread gravel, clear trails, push small trees over, skid fallen trees, haul cut/split wood and carry tools to work sites. The root grapple is amazing; even offers the ability to pull out small stumps and roots. It sips the fuel and takes everything we throw at it. No complaints at all with this tractor.

Not sure how you missed it.....its in every video.
Yup, I remember that one, and he took the extra effort and time to point out that it uses the Kukje engine. Hehehe as do all the legacy Branson models. We all have the same thought process, your T574c has the Kukje, where the T554 is the same except with the Yanmar Tony has the T474, and mine is the T474C with shuttle. Tony just made the mistake of getting a TYM tiny toy with the Yanmar. We all know, if you want serious awesomeness, get the Kukje engine. They copied off Cummins homework. And none use an EGR system. And all use mechanical injection. Tony is a wonderful resource, as any time I have a question about if mine can handle a particular task, I just look if Tony has a video on it.
@rodgerneeb3015 сағат бұрын
Why Tony? You know that the T264 has the Kukje engine whereas the T25 has the wrong engine. Always get the Kukje engine. The 5835 is the largest TYM that I would consider. The Deutz may be nice, but if I wanted a Deutz, I would buy a Deutz Fahr. To my way of thinking, it's much like AMC from the automotive industry, if you don't have confidence enough in your own engine to put it in your vehicle, then why should anyone else have confidence in it?

I looked for about 3 years also. Settled on an RK25; all the features i needed plus. It has performed flawlessly. I got it during cough19. Ordered a 3rd function kit, and months went by. They could not get the kit. So i cancelled that and trailered it to a John Deere dealer, and had them cobble together lines from FEL to rear power beyond; it cost as much as the OEM option. About a year after, i was able to get the OEM third function. So now i have both the momentary push button, and a bidirectional circuit on the FEL. Something to note- I called 2 different TYM dealerships to try to get the 3rd function. It’s the same tractor as their T25. In both cases, they never called me back with availability. That says to me something important about TYM and their customer support. I don’t support businesses that do that to their customers. RK has been ok to deal with; not stellar, not bad. At least they communicate effectively.

That looks like a very nice tractor! I have a John Deere sub-compact 1025R which is 25 HP in a small frame. It has never lacked power for what it is. This TYM would actually be an upgrade with the larger frame.

By "detune" what does that mean in practice? How much extra horsepower can you get out of it and what would it cost in labor and parts? I assume that would void the warranty.
@hhamilton19702 күн бұрын
Yes if you try to tune up the factory settings that would void your warranty
@floridacoder2 күн бұрын
@hhamilton1970 maybe buy an older model out of warranty anyways, then adjust the ECU. If there is no mechanical reason it can't support more HP and only a factory limitation in the ECU, sounds like a good way to get a higher HP model cheaper. What peaked my interest is that he said it's the exact engine as the 40HP+ model. So bumping up the HP seems safe. Unless there is something I am missing.

i've read there is a flat head screw behind a plate that you can crank up to get around 30 hp.

Thanks for this. I have a 2010 TYM 293. !! Yup you read that right. I've owned it for 14 years for the property. It has a bercomac front snowblower, FEL, backblade. I finally had to repalce the HST after 14 years. It has been an outstanding tractor. I will repalce it with another Korean tractor when the time comes. I owned a JD 30 series that as an aboslute POS tractor. Spent mroe time in the shop than I ran it.

Good works Tractors did a pretty good video (9 mo ago) on getting to a "0" sum value. He was bragging on Kioti. He is like you with JD and Kubota, loves them but he has went with Kioti for his personal and business tractors. He sells only used tractors. Thanks for the review and video brother.

Nice looking tractors but I hate all the plastic. I like my tractor being all metal for the extra durability and added weight. I felt the fenders on these and couldn't believe how thin and flimsy they felt.

I can absolutely see a lot of advantages for someone looking for a larger frame 25HP machine as long as PTO HP isn't needed. I'm glad Tony addressed the (potential) disappointment that people may have when buying this type of machine if they're thinking that they're going to run larger "PTO HP hungry" implements on the back. That's about the only disadvantage to this type of machine, but then not everybody needs PTO HP anyway. And for people that don't run 3pt implements that require PTO HP, this could be the perfect sized machine for them.
