My md1800.1 does flawless bangs my 2 12 inch fosgate p2s on 2ohm Hella hard in trunk rear facing 99 civic sedan only quarter of way up and never gets hot I've owned a ton ton of amps and taramps is by far the best I've ever bought for my buck and the bench tests are amazing too frfr I paid 199.99 for this taramp

Taramps have excellent short circuit protection. Big bang for the bucket. They make their rated power and more. Takes power to get power. Upgrade electrical. Power is clean no doubt

I have 2 Sundown audio 12s SA series dual 2 ohm. I am using the TARAMPS smart 3k wired to 2 ohm. I love it! Price to bang SHOOOOOOOT you can NOT beat it!

Taramps are very hard to get them to do warranty work. I bought 6 Taramps. 2 quit working so far. The fans caused one to quit working after a little more than a year. The other one that went bad only lasted 8 months. So hard to get warranty work, I gave up. I will not buy another one.

THIS! My ts800x4 went out on thanksgiving. I checked my wires, power supply, the whole 9 yards, but the amp just died out of nowhere. I’ve had it since August. I wanna get another one to push my mids and highs, but idk if it’s even worth it because of their warranty and how hard it is to get them to do the warranty work.

Thanks bro! I’ve been hesitating on getting taramps for a while now. I have been running (3) Skar amps in my truck setup for a couple years now, (1) for the bass (2) for the mids & high. Taramps is quite a great value and popular on SPL build. Don’t know if anyone did an SQ build with them? I have passed on Taramps because I am quite skeptical and want sound quality. I love my Sony Mobile ES speakers, I not only enjoy the clarity and crispness but I am absolutely happy with how loud it gets.

I wouldn't run a 5k on two Skar 10s. I have two VXF15s on a single SKAR RP1.500S at the moment, (temp solution) it's in a 5.5cuft turbo enclosure and it already shakes the car, when I put the 5k Taramps on, it's going to be hell. You'll blow your subs 10" with a 5k on them. Get the SMART 3K /BASS 3K your speakers wont know the difference and you'll be very very happy with a 3k as it's cheaper, just look up videos on here, a bunch of guys are even running duel 15"s on a 3k with insane results. Taramps are Def good amps. Good luck.

I had the taramps smart 3 and both fans stopped working and it would cut out at mid volume and would overheat easily. It did sound good and strong tho but its a very cheaply made amp. Switched to a Audiopipe amp and no more problems. I replaced the broken fans myself and sold it. Wont buy another one.

I was curious do you know if any 0g to 4g reducers will work or only certain reducers work with the smart 3 bass amps? Was thinking about getting the DD M2000 amp but was told the smart 3 bass has newer technology and well the price is wayyy cheaper than the DD

I have a bass 8k taramps and 8k 2ohm taramps amplifier the md is stronger than the bass 8k because its rated at 12.6 volts which is battery voltage 14.4 this amplifier is probably right at 8k with impedance rise

You nailed it bout half way thru this video, you have to treat these amps respectfully! Bruh! So to support what you are saying in this video, if people are skeptical or on the fence about Taramps then exactly what you said, watch some KZbin videos, get some ideas watching dyno runs, listening to someone else's setup running these amps, etc. I str8 up laughed at a guy I work with at the current 9-5 while prepping for my dealio. He had a smart 3k sitting around and I'd just gotten a pair of SAV2 12'S with a fair/decent for price prefab and needed to figure out how much power I could throw at em once they had a bit more than normal break in time. So buddy let me borrow the Taramps smart 3k, we dialed the Amp Way back til it was time to get up on them. I got all my power and grounds proper like, along with a couple XS batteries in the bed, and one going under the hood. Anyways, not to mention these amps WANT the Juice thrown at em, if you ain't plugged right on the electric side, they will go into protect, if your on Tilt and can't supply these amps what they need. You are 100 on the choosing the right amp for the right build! My bad, I like to talk a lot about all things car audio, once I continue my truck build I've gotten the Taramps smart 5k Bass, as Imma need a bunch of that power, then when add 3rd and 4th or switch up to the triple U's I won't have to switch amps, being the smart 5k Bass is a solid .5-2ohm stable and we'll be bangin' at .67 solid!!! Great video big homie! You explained it very well with these amps fo sho!

They look really cheap. I hope they’re worth it for you guys but unless I find one in a flea market nasty only way I’m gonna play it the buttons look cheap. The filters look cheap. There’s nothing good looking about the app but that’s only my opinion so rock on if you love it.

I can tell you this much yeah they look cheap I own 4 of them one bass 8k one md 8k 2ohm one md 5k 2ohm and one 1200x4 I can say this much I live in Houston tx and the ambient temperature down here is over a hundred degrees and they barely gets warm I have a sundown 5000 sfb and two jp23 amplifiers and they get extremely hot in the summer and the taramps doesn't pull a lot of current clip indicator is on point never smelled a voice coil burn yet and they are cheaper to fix than a Korean amplifier

Man my shit clips 8k 3 battery and mechman alternator and when I turn the bass up it clips I have the reducer 2 o gauge wire and 2 0 gauge ground wires and still clips

Sounds like your head unit is clipping your amplifier I'm running a 150 amp stock alternator big 3 upgrade with over 400 ah of reserve and it never clips I have a voltage drop when the volume is over 40 don't use bass boost on the amplifier and make sure you have a lot of battery reserves

@@Contact_Info the other guys said it’s my head unit when I have a pioneer head unit the good ones that let’s you fine tune your music eq I have the 2 12 zvx says 3000 watts max I believe there heave as hell I also have a tramp 8k bass wire down to one ohm speakers are 1 ohm too and my amp says 1 ohm my boy wired them to half a ohm and that made it worse with the clipping I have 2 o gauge wire red pure copper and 2 o gauge wire for ground going to the amp 2 system battery’s and one yellow top battery with a mec man alternator and then my voice I have 4 tens bass rockers for voice I have a tramp 5k for them door speakers 4 6 1/2 beymas with a tramp 1200 x4 my voice never clipped it’s only my bass my grounds look good and my 3 battery’s with big 4 upgrade still clipping when bass hits too hard I have to turn down my gain on my 8k but sometimes it still clips scratching my head man can’t figure it out my next move will be to upgrade to some 15 inch subs I mean I paid like 3 something a peace for the skars zvx 1 ohm thing it says 1500 rms max 2500 or something but you no you can over feed those speakers any ideas 💡 please let me no peace brother

@davntelisha19 maybe turn the gain down. The rms watts of the subs probably taking too low resistance at .05 ohm..probably sending 11k to the both of them..that's too much.. I would wire up to higher resistance. Could also be electrical, you have lithium yet,? Also.is the bass boost on the amp too high and the bassd controller? That will clip more.

Prevent rattling. Put long thin sticky rubber gaskets everywhere along doors and anything rattling and it will help clean ambient noise from rattle. I've never liked that rattling haha. Sounds good though. Subbed up for explaining the hookup of these amps. I was confused and why I came here. Look forward to seeing more bro. I'm looking at the 1200.4 right now for my 07 nbs ltz replacement of my bose system. I wonder if the stock speakers will wake up to this amp. Same ohms and shit. Looking at 4 g2 midbass drivers 6.5 and one 8 inch dvc g2 audio genesis sub. Thinking about making a custom box in the center pointing down in my truck and gutting all the stuff out and make a custom wood frame for my center console with 2 8s built in. Haven't fully decided but I did decide on Tara :) been looking online for weeks. And they are a simple but good looking amp.
