@@bannedone3ice138 well practically yes and no, if you are completely an atheist. basically not following the Jewish law, kosher, shabbat, wearing a kippah, pray, (Jewish circumcision) Brit Mila, etc. And still be a jew as an ethnic race, then you are not religious, just jew. Now If both of your parents are jews you are full jew by the Jewish law. If your mother is a jew and your father is not, you are half jew by the Jewish law. If your father is a jew and your mother is not, you are part Jew by the Jewish law. Now these are about the race. Now most of the israelis are Jewish and jews mostly, because we doing Britla Mila (Jewish circumcision) to all boys, teach our kids about the Jewish laws shabbat, keep kosher throughout all of their lifes, including going through Bar/bat Mizva and pray and wear kippah. This is mostly the general stuff. These are the answers: you can be a jew in terms of race and atheist. but not Jewish atheist, you got believe in Judaism.
