And we both agree they're not super stars. But the pressure is on the super stars because it's their job to do THEIR job EVERY NIGHT. So an Anthony Davis getting into foul trouble forces role players into HAVING to fill shoes that aren't their size. To be fair as well.. the rotations shrink in the playoffs.. so that doesn't help them get into the kind of groove you'd see in the regular season. I do think the role players need to step up.. but the stars need to close out a 20 point lead on the road.

Why are people harping on AD not scoring in the second half? His scoring dropped off because they put ball in LeBron's hands. AD didn’t dominate Jokic. Jokic was scoring at will on AD late. The Lakers gambled on leaning AD defending the Joker on tge 2nd half and it didn't work out. The Nuggets are just a better team and they know how to close games and close series.

Who is a role player on the team? Because I do expect guys who brought you to the playoffs to play up to their capabilities in some games. Basketball is best with balanced scoring so that everyone gets involved. Joy is saying the starters, especially Reaves, has to play better. Reaves is the 3rd or 4th best player on the team, depending on what night it is, so he should be expected to get more than 9 points in the game. Reaves is capable of 16/6/8 and that's what I want to see out of him. Rui is capable of at least 10 points and rebounds as well. So, Joy is not saying they should put up the type of numbers as Bron or AD or DLo on a good night, but just put up more than they are. What's so wrong with that? And has the bench done anythng beyond Prince? A really good team has a solid 6th man and the Lakers don't have that.

the nuggets are the better team because they play like a team. Look at all the teams that gave Bron them skippidy paps. My Pistons (retired fan now) played team defense and Big Shot hit key Jamal Murray-like shots. Spurs team basketball (gives up a great shot for an even better look). Golden State off ball movement & a free flowing style. Denver plays much like the Spurs. The lakers stars get gassed because the team in a Bron system relies heavily on Bron and his right hand man.
