My guy, you're getting cooked because you're trying to play Valkyrion turbo when a: you don't have the support for it and b: Valkyrion - as one of my favourite cards of all time - isn't very good. Goat Magnet Warriors is a beatdown deck with a rare type in Rock: use Wasteland or Gaia Power and equips to push them over your opponent's monsters so they stick around long enough for the Valkyrion play. Support them with Rock types like The Rock Spirit or Guardian Sphinx who get boosted by your field spells. Use janky nonsense like Heart of the Underdog and Two Man Cell Battle (since you're stacking normal monsters) or Sword and Shield (since magnets have high defence). Magnet Warriors aren't good: don't play them like they are. Gotta use that protagonist power.

Its no point in playing themed decks if 90 percent of the deck is just 2005 Staple cards. Jay had a balance but Rhyme's whole deck was basically prevention or destruction staples. Having to summon the Boss monster i thought was the point of X VS X monster decks. Limiting staples you guys can have and making it mandatory to at least summon the boss monster for the duel to count will make it more entertaining. Jay did that for the most part but Rhyme didnt even try lol

I think magnet warriors is better you just get bad draws. But same here I'm trying to do my own black luster soldier ritual deck using a dark magician engine and I get bls and everything else I don't need to draw and set up in my opening hand still

VantaJay - you could try to run backup soldier to recover alpha and gamma alohmgside dark factory Rhyme - a bit bricky but frontline base can let you summon the Union monsters faster from the hand

They got support in the form of Union support so stuff like Union hangar which is one of the most powerful field spells for a subtype and it makes ABC or XYZ more playable (ABC is way better at using it though).

Well, in the anime, Valkyrion the Magna Warrior was a fusion monster. I believe Yugi use De-fusion spell to return and summon all 3 Magnets with this card, like standard fusion monster. . If you have 3rd fun duel, because a player already win twice. I think it is better to give a losing player or both players a chance to summon their iconic boss monster. You almost summon Valkyrion, and I want to see it on the field.

nah, you're forgetting to count that shining angel's attack still happened with solemn. It was 4650 vs 4800. He sacrificed the possibility to destroy the opponent strongest monsters, to deny 150 damage

The deck he runs is fairly easy to beat(though would be harder for because your playing specific monster theme duels) personally id run spirit reaper,Gren Maju Deiza,Mask of darkness,Magican of faith,Marshmallon,Needle worm,DD warrior/DD Warrior Lady,Peguin Soldier for monsters. Spells Dark Hole, Raigeki,Change of Heart, Creature Swap, Cauldron of the Old Man,Swords of revealing Light,Limit Area Level B,Dimension Fissure,Soul Absorbtion,Monster Reborn for traps Mirror Force, Judgment of Anubis,Gravity Bind,Magic Jammer,Trap Jammer,Cursed Seal of the Forbidden spell,Dark Bribe, Torrential Tribute,Seven tools of the bandit,Trap Hole ect just some examples its not that those kind of deck is bad in old-school Yu-Gi-Oh there were far better cards than draw cards and generic beatsticks, 2000-2002 not so much but in Goat golden age 2005-2008, there were better strategies than lets draw cards especially for example the trap that targets when a player activates a spell and changes its txt to "player discards a card" forget name but the oldschool counter For Pot cards and generic draw cards.
