This is how I feel about both teams as well lol! I gave up on the Mavs sooner (I’m a Heat fan so I was holding out hope). Our defense hasn’t been close to what it was and our offense at times just stagnates really bad. I think a lot of it is rhythm but we gotta find it and soon.

I was told Harkless, Bradley and Achiuwa are great subs for Crowder and DJJ when those two were along with Jimmy and Bam the best defenders we had on the team. And then we gave Myers Leonard the same contract Crowder took from Suns... We literally chose Leonard over Crowder.

As a Miami fan I think one of the biggest things aside from general health and injuries is the fact that Jae Crowder left. He was the ultimate utility player last season. Made his 3s, could guard most guys, very switchable. Miami doesn't really have that same production this season. Mo Harkless has been pretty bad and I don't think Iggy has been getting enough minutes as a guy with similar abilities

I don't understand how you can be "built for the bubble". Basketball is basketball, and the heat played damn good last season. Obviously they had the advantage when it comes to matching up with Milwaukee's system, but they still had to show up and execute in order to win, and people don't seem to want to give them the credit they earned for playing so well. Nothing fake about it, different circumstances of the settings and schedules and arenas don't change the fact that they outplayed all their competition on the way to the finals. Bubble or no bubble, that's exactly what the playoffs are about. They probably won't replicate that success, but people need to respect what they did that season anyway.

that could be a reason but the front office has a job to factor that. if you take a look at the bench I see guys like Vincent Silva and Okpala who all basically should be in the GLeague and are not capable of giving rest to the key players from the run last year, guys like Isaiah Thomas and Lance Stephenson have been dying to get on a roster and would easily outperform any of those young guys. Spo also has serious issues with his rotation and he has guys like Precious or Strus only playing 12 to 15 min per game that could be getting extended minutes helping manage the fatigue but Spo continuously drops the ball there. Front office and coaching has a lot to answer for if they dont make the playoffs and the reasons start to sound like excuses

It’s hard to find versatility in the league so I would hold on to guys like Ben Simmons or even other 3 and D type players who can provide that for your team. They don’t grow on trees.
