Exactly. They traded a lot of second-round picks for just cash in this last draft, which tells me they really aren't that valuable unless they're extremely low picks (like the one we traded for more future seconds.)

Well if they are 5-7 years from now makes sense. Ideally you want to draft good 2025 & 26, develop scoot sharpe clingan by 27-28, go all in 29-30.. and when uou go all in you want to have bunch of 2nds to fill up roster spot on minimum salary

I love how Cronin did Cronin things and waited until his value seemingly dropped quite a bit and then we're looking at moving Ant. This organization struggles so bad at selling players win their value is at the highest.

It's unclear if his asking price was too high for Ant, or if he actually thought about keeping him if Scoot didn't pan out, but the situation he seems to have found himself in is that Ant isn't really the solution, his value is probably at its lowest in years, and it's still not clear if Scoot is the answer. Good times.

But what's really the solution to it tho? Completely randomize the draft order like any team could get the number one pick? Like what if a team like Boston or OKC or Denver got the first pick. How is that fair
