ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒE I agree I'm not sure about the medic rifles in this DLC I played with the general Liu on cte and interestingly if you pressed the firemode button it would switch from a semi auto rifle to a bolt action one It's so dissapointed that they removed this as it was fun to play with When switching to bolt action it had like no recoil and the bolt chambering was awesome to see. No damage difference though which is disappointing Sorry to say though my favourite medic weapon if the French one I love the reload and damage model

Wld be nice if the general liu did have the bolt action fire mode in game. It could be 2 weapons in 1, for example in semi auto it wld be a 1906 with 1 more bullet but with slightly less accuracy & more recoil. In bolt action mode it cld be a 2 shot kill like the rsc but with a slightly slower rate of fire. This wouldve been awesome.

Dose anyone else find the obrez pistol buggy. Sometimes after shooting someone the bolt animation doesn't work but the sound still plays. It doesn't really effect gameplay that much but it sort of ruins an otherwise great weapon for me

That has been here since the cte was testing the russian content. Sometimes it seems like it jams too if u cut the reload animation (not the rechambering animation) itll only do it sometimes tho. Youll cut the reload animation try to fire then its a dice roll on whether or not it actually fires a bullet.

In the name of the tsar dlc was free a few days ago for me so I got it and geez some of these assignments were hard no doubt like trying to unlock the mosin nagant infantry, three headshots in a round! I a support main and I just spray and pray but gosh the gun is rewarding nonetheless. Thank you Westie for giving us another great video and you are doing great on keeping up with battlefield 5!

Parabellum is the best weapon in the DLC for sure. As a Support player who plays aggresively and is constantly on objectives, I am no longer hamstrung by the small magazine size of the BAR and being able to lay down fire against multiple opponents and actually killing them before they can react is an amazing thing.

I didn't really enjoy the Perino at first, but once I learned to use it, I was in love. I fit it with the AA sights, and folloe my team around. If you get into a bipodded defensive position the thing is an absolute laser beam. I got a lot of 3 to 5 man kill streaks by doing so.

Hi Westie! I still haven't unlocked some of the variants for the new weapons, but it's been fun unlocking them. Personally, I like the General Liu...(no more than the Fedorov, of course) It requires accuracy, but to drop an enemy in two or three shots with the Medic class is very satisfying. I unlocked the Perino first (with the ironsights). I was hesitant to start the two-planes-shootdown for the MG14 tough. Then, one game I gave it a shot with the perino: you can shoot 80 buölets without overheating. I got 2 planes down inner 10 minutes first try. The mortar kills were harder for me lol The HE tripvire challange was still a rage pain in the ass tough

For people having problem with the planes, just jump into a AA, shoot one too the point where it's disabled and then just shoot it with the LMG. Only need that last bullet. Also for the K bullet vehicle destroy, then just shoot a Mortar with the K bullets until it's gone, that works as well.

The General Lieu is a beast in my opinion. Sure, it only has 6 rounds, but for some reason (possibly the recoil pattern), this gun drops people so fast for me, getting a chest shot then a head shot almost every single time. I really like it, its just satisfying to use. Also, for the MG 14/17, I used the suppression variant last night and got my first of 2 plain kills, then I almost got 2 more but the damn plains kept crashing after I got the Disabled! DAAAAAMMMIT

In my say, I love the Mosin Marksman. the damage is great for killing tagged enemies and the benefit of not being spotted by the glare makes the rifle completely worth it.

The side-to-side recoil of the Fjodorov is ridiculous. I am not an extraordinarily skilled player and i find it difficult to use even in close quarters. I actually like the Perino, but i think it lacks a scope and it's damage is also mediocre compared to most of the other choices. As a low recoil, high overheat threshhold LMG it would have been the perfect mid to long range weapon with a scoped variant. The General Liu, the Obrez and the Vetterli Vitali are obviously challenge weapons and don't really give you an edge in any situation. Let's hope DICE changes things up a bit again with the weapon balance patch (whenever it may launch) because most of the time i find myself choosing the original weapons over the DLC ones.

I found the Vetterli infantry variant to be quite potent rifle for semi aggressive ptfo scout play, pair it up with good sidearm and maybe those tripbobombas. Maybe for me it is almost the best scout rifle so far. The bullet velocity is the biggest downfall, but after small adjustment period I learned to lead.

I've only managed to unlock the MG-14 suppressive so far, but I love it! It's currently my favorite LMG. I'm hoping to start working on unlocking the Fedorov soon, though. EDIT: I wanted to add that the weapons in this DLC do seem to be far more worth the effort than the extremely mediocre (at best) weapons from the French DLC (about the only one that seems to be somewhat worth it from that one was the Ribeyrolles carbine, but since I managed to hit Assault level 10 before getting the 20 headshots with the MP-18 optical, I figured why bother with it when I can just roll with the Hellriegel).

I run with the Mosin Nagant infantry and Nagant revolver, I like the authentic feel of the infantry and it gives a good challenge. Also, the Nagant revolver's longer range potential as a sidearm is really nice for follow-up shots, and it has good recoil.

My main problem with that Mosin Nagant cut off pistol is it shoots 2 rounds before you need to pull back the bolt. If its really just a cut off version of the Mosin than you would need to work the bolt every time you take a shot.

I really like the M1900 Slug, Fedorov Trench and my beloved Moist-Nugget Infantry. Also the Vetterli suprised me very positively. And lets not forget the pocket Moist-Nugget. God that thing is amazing. Overall awesome weapons, too bad the General Liu Rifle did not come with the funny semi-automatic/bolt-action configuration. Would have made it a way more interesting gun.

Assault really got the short end of the stick. The model 10 has more killing potential than either of the 1900's variants. The smg 08 is clearly outclassed at close range and at medium range it's outdone by the longer range mp18 variants as well as the ribeyrolles. Even the hellreigels make better high capacity suppressing fire bullet hoses

Model 1900 is totally trumped by the Model 10-A at the moment. The only reason to use it would be because you prefer having only two shots that shoot slightly faster versus 6.

The only benefit of the Fedorov is the its ease of use. Yes it 'feels' like an 'assault rifle' but it will still get outclassed by the RSC, M1907, and 8.35 Factory within their respective ranges.
