Our entire family was just up on the lake for Labor Day weekend. Before we left we ran our younger children around to show them the river. Definitely local kids picking off salmon. Fun to watch them pop in and go right to a spot and hook right up.

Is it possible that some of these "salmon" sightings are actually just carp moving around in the river? i would think that the S.R. would have a decent number of carp in it - or am i wrong? cause i've seen reports of people suposedly seeing 1 or 2 salmon as far up as the town pool, but that just doesn't seem right to me.
