Should trade out the battle shock ability, it rarely has an impact. Instead TH&SS could have the same ability as the bladeguard veterans, and the twin LC's could have Sustained hits 1 (increasing to sustained hits 2 on the charge). This unit should be fierce when they do make it in to combat to offset their lack of shooting!

I like them in Inner Circle detachment. 10 + ancient and captain. Singular Will and deep strike first turn enhancement. They can reroll wounds near vowed objective (when using stratagem) and get+1 to wound. You can fish for devastating wounds that way. Plus they are a huge unit and with Singular Will you can pile in and consolidate 6 inches.

I love the hammer and shield variant but hitting on 4+ is tough. Play Dark Angels and it sucks thats termies are so meh atm.

So I agree they aren't great in most marine detachments. However, I have actually had some very good use out of them purely as a tank/hold one midfield objective all game; when using them in my Templar Righteous crusaders detachment. Like you say in the video I think the chaplain is a great leader for them. Though the main thing I think that makes this work is just the templar detachment, give the chaplain the enhancement to give him and his whole unit a 5 plus FNP against everything (also halves dmg for himself lmao). In cover with Armor of contempt they really just do not wanna die. They can even kill big stuff with the other strats to give them lethal or sustained hits, but again I just like using them to lock down one objective. I still think they could use some major help, I don't like only being able to use them in my templar detachment even though they are my first army. I'd just like to use other detachments and not immediately notice the huge power difference.

Lightning Claws are trash across the whole faction. Make them S7 and we might have a different game! Likewise, they needed a squad ability actually represents an elite shock assault option, either bonuses against battle-shocked units or forcing desperate escape tests. I'm really hoping we get a Blood Angels Terminator Assault Squad when they release the Codex + assault terminator box.

I like them, they are more mobile than Bladeguard in many ways and are similarly pointed. Just chuck them at something big and you either smash it or hold it up for ages. I do think they need an updated kit though.

Yeah, they aren't too dissimilar to BGV. They need a bit of help as well. Holding things up is the best you can hope for with the elite of SM!

Iam no competitive player, but i like the assault terminators with the "The Red Thirst" detachment and a chaplain in terminator armour, where the lightning claws are able to take on lighter armoured vehicles

I wish Aggressors and Gravis Captains were part of the 1st Company Task Force. I still think it is a really weak detachment overall though.

The detachment needs a massive rework. It leans on ok to meh datasheets being good when below strength...just madness

I think they were guessing the value of an extra wound. Like they are really tough. Tough as in how much effort and consideration goes into removing them. Issue is the rule most likely, they pay for a lot of benefit but ability isn't worth a single point on this unit.

Oh 100%. The problem with balance is that the lightning claws struggle for the same points. The ability is 100% trash. At least make it just be engagement range, not complete a charge...

I play blood angels and I feel normal terms are better I'd love to use claw terminators in sons detachment but they still not great They need new kit and more damage ability
