Are there 4-beat weaves? Poi spinning questions answered!

I was asked recently if there is a 4-beat weave with poi. The answer is yes! It's basically a mash-up of a 3-beat weave and a 5-beat weave!

This is how I learned the 5 beat. Played with 3 on one side and 5 on the other until it was fluid and I could perform both sides together.

Yesssss slow motion is much needed/appreciated. I like 4 beat weaves, it lets you keep with the music while devising something more fancy.

I think it is worth explicitly pointing out that, like 2-beat weaves, 4-beat weaves are asymmetrical in terms of hand/arm movements, and thus there are two ways to learn to do them in both the forward and backward directions.

4 ways, forward and reverse, extra have spin on the right and on the left. Technically speaking they could be horizontal or wall plane or bent to diagonal planes. Am I missing anything?

Horizontal is just a 4-beat corkscrew, which *is* symmetrical again.
