Bro Muslim by choice i dont know whether you are aware of it but Dr Jamaal badawi gave an exceptional and more detailed explanation of the 7 ahrufs ... the vid titile is : preservation of the Quran. If its possible u should use exerpts from that and make a ver 2 of this topic since its vitally important as the pagan christiains try to attack using the 7 version tactics. (21:4) Hafs verses Warsh "Say" (qul): My lord knows ... Hafs version qaala is the perfect tense and therefore Muhammad is the subject of the verb, but in the Warsh version qul is the imperative and therefore the subject is God who is commanding Muhammad/Muslims. This difference is repeated in 21:112. Example of new ruling of Fiqh due to change in grammatical position of a word: Top one is Qiraat Hafs and the bottom is Qiraat Duri. In Hafs Recitation, Arjulakum (being mansub) is linked to washing, while in Duri recitation, Arjulikum (being Majrur) is linked to wiping. Thus, we get two fiqh rulings from the two recitations i.e.: 1. Feet are to be washed in wudu. 2. Feet are to be wiped.

If you use the same riwayah every arabic Quran will be the same. Problem ! This is an excellent topic which I myself have started researching, specially the books of al-Jazari (Ra) and Abu Amr al-Dani (Ra). One thing that must be clear (and if I'm not mistaken dr. Shabir made a mistake on this), is that the 7 or 10 qira'at are not to be confused with the 7 ahruf mentioned in the Hadith. The Quran is not revealed in more than 7 ahruf, but there's difference as to how each different ahruf would be like, and, there's agreement that the variations in reading (qira'a) are coming from the different ahruf. As for the many different qira'at, there are more than 7 or 10, but we must notice that (if I'm not mistaken), al-Jazari was the one who claimed that there are 7 different qira'at. And the reason why he chose this number, according to his methodology in his book, is to agree with the number 7 of the different ahruf (here's why people confuse the qira'at with the ahruf). Some other scholars have claimed some different numbers but his position became more accepted and widespread. There are 7 qira'at, but it can be counted as 10 as other three are added. For those who want to check these differences in meaning, refer to tafsir of ibn Katheer (ra), as he explains these differences and gives the tafsir of each different forms. There's also an audio collection of classes online done on tafsir al-Qurtubi, by sheikh Abdullah ibn Muhammad al-Ameen al-Shinqiti (ha) teaching in the masjid of the Prophet (saas), in which he mentions these differences as well (unfortunately the lectures are in Arabic). Lastly, this is also a good lecture for those brothers who have rejected or are (baselessly) criticizing Hadith, because this shows that the Quran was passed down by the very same chains of narrators that narrate Hadith, and that both are preserved in the exact same way, being that what is understood as mutawatir in the qira'at tô be accepted as Quran are not the same mutawatir of the Hadith.

As I understood the lecture he made a differentiation between ahruf and qira'at. In one sentence he said that the qira'at are without grammatical irregularities as know from the arabic tribes. In minute 27.15 .

Thank you for this video We should know the difference between the american and british spelling, is there any meaning error when you read any known text context using one of them, of course not because doesn't matter the style of writing while the meaning is confirmed and every one write the word as he sounds it out. I mean I could write the Quran even using english letters while keeping the same recitation and spelling. What is important is the listener who should listen the same recitation as like arabic recitation, thus same meaning. I tell you more than that, the two men who would read text context using the american and british spelling, they will reach you the message by the the same way if a third illiterate man who memorieses the same text by heart. Regarding the Quran, it is the same thing, me personnaly, I memorise the whole Quran by heart form my cheikh who memorized it from reliable connected chain of cheikhs "machayekh" over the centeries connected to Abdullah ibn Masood from the Prophet peace be upon him from gebrayel from the God Allah. This matter is not available for the other books because the people have lost the original talk from the God, where these books were revealed to specified people in a specified region not all mankind. Hence, Allah sent many books to people successively to remember them that there is no God but Allah, until coming the prophet Muhammed peace be upon him with the last revelation "The Quran" to all mankind any where in the earth, and Allah by his holy will and his own wisdom wanted to this Quran to be the final guidance and warning to mankind. Allah says in the Quran: "Whoever is guided is only guided for [the benefit of] his soul. And whoever errs only errs against it. And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. And never would We punish until We sent a messenger." surah Al Isra 15 (QS 17: 15) In other verse He says: "[O Prophet!] We have sent down to you the Book for mankind with the truth. Then whoever adopts the right way, will do so for his own soul, and whoever goes astray, injures his own soul. You are not their custodian." surah Az Zumar 41 (QS 39: 41) May Allah guide you to the straight way if you open your heart without arrogance or racine pride or religion background or how the others would see you. Allah says in the Quran: " So whoever Allah wants to guide - He expands his breast to [contain] Islam; and whoever He wants to misguide - He makes his breast tight and constricted as though he were climbing into the sky. Thus does Allah place defilement upon those who do not believe". surah Al An’am 125 (QS 6: 125) english translation. Thanks

Agree. That's why the bible has note at the bottom of the chapter to identify the variant . And No Christian would refer to the scriptures as literal revelation.
