A room, depending on what's inside of it, can be a loving room, a bath room or bedroom. The position if a floor can make it a first floor, a ground floor or a basement. So a opening in a wall isn't automatically a door even if jt has a hinge or a lit or whatever, simply being in a different spot and of a different shape. Windows rarely every touch the lowest edge of the wall, which makes it very hard to go through them. Almost all windows that aren't on ground floor have a free fall behind them, making it inpossible to go through them without hurting yourself. Also, removing and adding something to an object also can make it a new object. It's like saying a snowboard is just a skateboard without wheels. Well, that's what makes it a skateboard and what differenciates it from a skateboard, so it isn't skateboard no more.

So, technically, for every door there is 3 wheels. Not even considering any other wheel. Plus there is bearings on door handles (inside) and that means every door on a house or every door with handle is one extra wheel. If that doesn’t count, there has been 10 billion toy cars ever manufactured, so 40 billion wheels right there. Not even including Lego wheels. On interior doors, the side attached to the wall and the side attached to the door have multiple wheels that rotate around a common axle. That is why a hinge is a wheel and an an axle. Gears are just wheels with teeth. As others have said most hinges are still wheels and doors usually have two at least. Arguably ball bearings as well or other contained spheres; akin to old trackball mice. Cruise ships and office buildings are impressive but factories are even more so; conveyor systems alone are really substantial with countless small wheels. That is not even touching on cylinders; which can also be wheels. Prime example being a steam roller, so at least some cylinders should also count. Edit. I even count windows and hatches as doors; but I still think wheels ultimately win out. Wheels are in so much stuff if you include gears and other round components.

Another thought I had; some types of valves are also wheels. Even in the case of a house there are a few of these around such as for your toilet and most home heating systems, ovens and other appliances. Shakier premise as wheels in that case are more of a design choice. Wheels are definitely more comfortable then just trying to using a bar though, so it does help the motion of the valve. Edit. Lol I am thinking of this argument too much lately; even more for wheels. Bike chains and the like, each of the links is connected with a little cylinder wheel which allows specific motion while supporting keeping the chain together.

Even though a car may have an extra 5th wheel, that doesn't mean there's more wheels than doors in a car. There's actually 5/6 doors in car depending on what car you have. There's the four doors in the front, the truck counts as a door and the hatch to get to the extra wheel is a door. Also vans have more doors than wheels since they need extra doors to fit things in.

It really depends on what you defined as a door or a wheel. Door: (A movable structure used to close off an entrance, typically consisting of a panel that swings on hinges or that slides or rotates.) Wheel: (A solid disk or a rigid circular ring connected to a hub, designed to turn around an axle passed through the center.) If we take that into consideration for the car theory, then the Glovebox, Center console, Hood/Bonnet, Boot/Trunk, the 2/4 Doors on both sides, and the Gas cap door all count as Doors. But the car also has 4 Wheels, 1 Extra Wheel, and Steering Wheel. (You can also say Gears like the Flywheel counts as a wheel) -> I personally don't think Steering Wheel and Gears like the Flywheel Count. I'm still on the fence about the question after all we have over 4 Billion Buildings around the world with anywhere from 30 to 3000+ doors, and then we have HotWheels... :D

Most door handles are connected with a square spindle (axel), the square spindle goes through a lever, that lever pulls back the lock, and then a spring resets the handle and lock. (I wouldn't consider the lever to be a wheel nor the handle.) and most door handles don't move anyway. Here's the thing the magority of doors have hinges about 2-3 on each of them. This doesn't apply to all doors but at least 80% and hinges are called wheels sometimes so those hinges in a sense are wheels. On top of that for a lot of doors that don't use hinges they have gears in them and factories have thousand of gears in there machines. Most doors are eliminated just from the hinges/wheels alone for example go into your house and you might find cabin doors and other stuff but if you look at the hinges they outnumber them 2-1 at the least

I was originally team wheels but I think doors now, still after the video. think of suburban homes, often multiple doors in a household, not to mention oven doors, cabinet doors, drawers, dressers etc there are 76000 suburban homes in the United States alone, each with pretty much no wheels in them but at least 20 doors each, and that’s being generous that’s 1.5 million doors in only houses in suburban areas in the United States. I think the hardest part for team doors is cars, because there are many wheels in any given car, especially sports cars and semi trucks. But for an ever age car, the glove compartment door and divider door(s) give a few extra for team doors, but team wheels win in semi-trucks.for the toy cars argument, they all have doors they are all just glued shut. The best thing going for team doors it the fact that there is no place a wheel is at that a door isn’t (other than a bike). But the door has houses where you get so many more doors than wheels could. I am again assuming everyone isn’t playing the game that “well a door hinge is made of wheels so team wheels wins!!!” If we are playing that the cell membrane of every living cell in your body is a living breathing door. Plus there is bearings on door handles (inside) and that means every door on a house or every door with handle is one extra wheel.

By the general concept, from most people, of what a door and a wheel is, there are more wheels than doors in the world. Mainly due to 2 things: office chairs and toy cars. A normal car has 4/5(steering wheel) wheels but also has many doors. However, a typical toy car has no doors but has 4 wheels and an almost unimaginable number of toy cars have been produced. Additionally, while a large office may have many doors, most employees will each have an office chair that has 5 or 6 wheels (double that if you count both sides of each). However, the problem comes when you look at their dictionary definitions. The definition of a door is very loose while it is also very strict for the wheel. For example, this:(a wheel detached from a car) is technically not a wheel as it is not attached to an axel. Whereas a door only has to be something that moves (weather by hinge, sliding, rotating, or just moving in general) to open up a different space. This means that, by the dictionary definition: a window is a door, a kitchen cabinet is a door, a flip phone case or laptop is a door, and even a cardboard box is has doors (in which you can create theoretically infinite doors by cutting from the edge of the cardboard to the fold where each “flap” is a door). But I know what you’re thinking, “But not many people are cutting up cardboard boxes like this, and then surely by that dictionary definition gears and cogs are all wheels too. Cars and machines each have 100s of them, so surely there are still more wheels.” Yes, true, but I have one more small thing to ruin any of your remaining wheel dreams. Switches. Specifically, the very, very small ones found in electronic devices, called transistors, these can block electrons as a 0 and open to let electrons through as a 1 in binary. So, they open to a different space so they must be a door. Each electronic device contains billions and billions of transistors. There is a good chance that the device you are reading this on right now has more doors in it then there are wheels in the whole world !!!. So, in conclusion, there are more doors than wheels in the world. Well, by the arbitrary dictionary definitions at least.
