Another great video, thank you. Your second point has hit home, I go through phases of doing well then falling off the wagon, I think having the confidence/self belief to believe that you actually ARE a different healthier and fitter person than you were is probably key. Undoing a lifetime of being your old self takes a lot of unpicking, but worth the effort 👍👍👍.

It's definitely worth the effort if you want to change your life for the better. It's not easy, though, and it does take time, especially as we age. Just having the awareness that we do have limiting beliefs and they are shaping our actions and decisions is a breakthrough because most people don't.

Guilty as charged m'lud. Who ever solves this one will change the world!!! With diet and exercise I start keen, it feels good. I enjoy the novelty. Then it gets repetitive, feels restrictive, the returns reduce. I started a new class a few weeks ago, it felt really good, but now it's basically the same every time and I've started clock watching. How to keep that spark alive? Pick a different class each week?

Mixing things up can work but it's temporary. Identifying when you start to lose interest and the thoughts that you are having during this time will help uncover the limiting belief that is holding you back. Whatever this is, it's not true, and you need to understand that and truly believe the opposite to move forward

Enjoyed that. Good reasoning and well put. My reasons for staying fit are that I won't need help or support when reaching a ripe old age. Thank you.

Great reasons, I wish more people had this approach.

They that the way to get rich quick is luck, but the way to get rich slow is consistency. Same for anything (giving up smoking being an obvious example), it's making things a habit that has long-term effect.

I agree that habits are key, but it's the mindset and the new beliefs about yourself that habits create that really make a difference.

Suggested question to ask? What happens if you don't do it?

In my experience, you keep falling short and repeating the same old outcomes.
