But for anglers on a tight budget, some of the more expensive varieties might be a bit out of reach. Can we still find quality stickbaits at a cheap price that still hold up to abuse and still catch tons of fish? I got a pack of fat senko Diawa custom Gary Yamamoto from the fleamarket for cheap and they work like using live bait. I've never seen anything like it. Those big bite baits do work. thanks LB

@LowBrowFishing Yum Dingers work great for me, but I "customize" them for extra action since they are stiffer than a Senko. I slice the tail end a few centimeters up using a single edge razor blade, either one slice for a two tail, or two slices for a four tail look. On occasion, I also slice both ends for a little something different, adding some extra wiggle as they fall on a wacky rig.The extra action really gets the bites. Something the extremely pressured bass in my local waters just don't often see. I also cut them into two pieces to get two baits from one for ned rigging, and leave the two pieces as is, or split the upper end a bit for the same extra wiggle effect, much like the elaztech ned with a split top. My local tackle shops seem to sell very few of the split-tail neds, so the extra action is seldom seen by the bass that I fish for, and the modification has been working well for me. My local foothill/mountain lakes and streams have very clear water, with a rocky/shale bottom. Only gets a bit muddy with a lot of fast-boat traffic or high winds, when a narrow mudline gets kicked up, so the bass are pretty wary in my neck of the woods most of the time.

I love the do-it ones my friend makes for me. Lower salt ,so they float a bit more ,and require weighting for different techniques. The Waco, and double ended weighted wacky worms have got me several pb bass over the years.and I tune the plastic to my needs. I still buy Yamamoto worms for specific things I use em for.and the hvy salt is key to the way the bait works.elaztec worms ate another good alternative to use in situations you want extra buoyancy. And I love yum plastics. They are stiffer ,less salt but last quite a bit longer .

It is amazing how expensive lures are now. The Bass Pro Stik O has done well for me in the past and was reasonably priced. There was always a lot in the package too which made it felt like more of a value.

I always liked the Stik-O too. Some Bass Pro branded items are hit or miss with me, but I always thought those worms were a good deal.

I use Yum Dingers and Bass Pro shops Stick-os. At my BPS at least you can get 30 bulk pack for 10.99 the same price as the Yum Dingers bulk pack. I also love a Zoom Trick worm for a wacky rig. Its $6.29 for 20 so that is a great deal also!

Don't count out solid white. You'll be surprised when you try them. If a solid white spinnerbait works, see what a white worm or stick bait does on the bottom. Joe

@LowBrowFishing For years I used power pro braid with a flouracarbon leader, but now I just use straight monofilament line. I use 10lb on baitcasters, 8 on medium lite spinning rods, a 6 lb on my ultra lite wading spinning rod.

I do like the bps stiko but in the 3inch size . Baitfish and houdini are my favorites.

I use Yum stickbaits either Junebug, Black & Blue Flake and Watermelon Red Flake for my wacky rig setup. They actually work pretty well LowBrow. Thanks for the video on this subject 👍🏻🎣

I just ordered an eight pack to replace my dwindling supply of cheapo stick baits. They're only three-fifty a bag plus free shipping. I bought them off of the Temu website. I'll know when they get here if they'll work as wacky rig worms. I catch fish with most of the cheap baits I buy off of that website. Bass aren't the smartest fish in the world so, I can see these cheap Senko knockoffs not working just as good.

I’ve used the Dingers for a long time. Lately, I’ve tried the Ocho from Strike King and I like it a lot. Not sure if I would say it’s a budget stick bait though. It isn’t nearly as expensive as some.

A Yamamoto senko is the best I've used. The extra cost is worth it. Nothing wrong with a dinger, but give me a real senko anyway of the week.

I've never tried the h2o express worms. But they do make good lures. A lot of my hard lures are h20express.

YUM is king? The standard for a long time has been a Yamamoto Senko. Personally, I prefer the Bass Pro stick-o. Hard to beat the value. The guy with 50 bags of YUM is saving money? lol Good video LBF ✌️
