Imagine me feeling bad for the guy my ex-GF *cheated* on me with... She moved out of my house and right in with him - while confusingly/weirdly saying "I still love you and would like to still do dinner together, play pool together..." (Needless to say I said "I don't think so" and cut off all contact)... It was like 6 months later I was at a local food festival downtown and heard someone calling my name, I turned to have her run up to me and literally throw her arms around me in a big hug, bubbling happy while I just stood there like a rock for a few seconds before peeling her off of me, noticing "him" (the guy she cheated with) standing like a dozen feet away looking very uncomfortable - and somehow in that moment I understood why and actually felt a twinge of sorrow for him? I mean I was glad she was his problem by then, and as it happens I hear later he had probably already been cheating on her by then (they split in under a year), but I just couldn't help thinking how I would feel to have a girl I was dating do that in front of me - how disrespectful it was.

It has always been weird for me how Hollywood needs to include s3x or even kissing scenes in EVERY movie. As if there aren't other ways to show that two people are in love. I've always found it weird for actors who are in committed relationships to take roles that force them to be intimate with another person, even if it's supposedly just "for the cameras". A lot of bonding hormones get released when you do physically intimate acts with a person so I have a hard time believing that they can always keep it strictly professional. I know there are some actors who refuse to take roles for characters with romantic partners because they want to stay faithful to their partners and I really respect the hell out of that.

As someone who primarily listens to people like Ben Shapiro for political news and analysis, one of the biggest things I miss out on is stories like this (Whenever Ben has to cover stories like this he usually states its because hes being forced to do it by his team, which is hilarious to watch). It's always great to get a conservative point of veiw -- even on celebrity gossip like this since you really can't find it anywhere else

There's a few things someone should tell Brett which is: 1) The actors who really get around would shock you, and you will never hear about it like with these two. 2) Hollywood stages PR relationships all the time to promote music, movies, etc. It's pretty common and dates back decades. 3) Actors cheating is really not that shocking. They do it all the time. If you spend months away from your family and around temptation, you're likely to slip. Most people dating entertainers probably know this and are prepared for it on some level. It's amoral, but not uncommon for people living this lifestyle.

Not surprising Emilia Clarke basically said the same thing a while ago. That actors and actresses basically fuck each other while away from their partner.

lol, the disrespect they show to their BETTER halves (never has a term fit so well) is painfull... If i would see my fiancee like this .... bye bye ... she would find new locks on the door and her dresses in the trash. ow and IF this is a Pr stunt .... then STILL i would change the locks and throw her stuff on the streets (where she herselfs belong as it seems)

The only reason they might truly love each other is because they each have their own actual commited relationships, a fiance and girlfriend, and so it seems kinda forbidden and risky. Idk though

Hey Brett I don't know if you read much comments, but in hopes you might do I'll write this. I just found your channel and I must say I love it, you do great commentary on various topics ans allways with an intellectual and well spoken manner. I actually live in Israel and are more towards the left than the right side of the political map, but nevertheless even if I don't agree with you on every topic, I find it enriching to hear the "other" side to get a full view and make more informed opinions. I say "other" side as I do find myself agreeing with allot you have to say and also me not being anything near radical left, in our day and era I would probably be viewed as conservative by some liberals. Anyway, just wanted to share my appreciation for you work, keep it up and I'll be sure to keep watching. Wishing I could sit down and talk with you!

I feel like making it seem like you're in a relationship with someone else for PR when you're in another real life relationship isn't good for the health of the relationship whatsoever... but also some people are weird and might like it or even suggest their partner doing it. Also this made laugh a little "Listening to Respect by Aretha Franklin, do you guys know that song?"..... I have been listening to 3 Inches of Blood for the past few days.... I believe Axes of Evil is my favorite song ever even though it's a little cheesy (singing then just yelling AXES OF EVIL). I don't have Fleetwood Mac in my collection yet but I do have their album Rumours on my iTunes wishlist.... I own a lot of music most is digital but I save the files once I download them on my laptop so I have them as long as iTunes exists and my hard drives or SSDs survive (I might just have SSDs at this point).

People need hobbies that don't involve other people in them. Social media has rotted our brains so much that we find sad stories of infidelity to be 'tea' and 'drama' when really it's a heartbreaking situation of cheaters hurting their supposed loved ones. I will say, bless Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, they seem truly in love and devoted to one another and I wish more people were examples like them.

I havn't seen many talk about this but acting which takes you away from your partner for months on end is killer for marriage, really any job that takes you away from the family. You are often in cities that you don't know anybody so your cast mates literally become the only people you can unwind and hang out with. And that can lead to situations and romantic feelings being shared. What you find is the actors who are married that have lasting marriages are those who make efforts to visit each other on set. John krasinski visited Emily Blunt almost every weekend when they were filming jack Ryan and Mary Poppins respectively. Those efforts are the ones that pay off.
