These guitars are great value for money. I picked up the pink strat on launch day and was really surprised how well it played out of the box. I bought it to mod and have made a few changes already but if someone is looking for a punk rock machine for little to no money, this guitar is awesome!

how does the routing cavity look like underneath the pickguard? thinking of buying one and installing a push/pull pot but am unsure how deep the control cavity is

@Jerry Yang it's routed HHH, I assume that is the same on all the strat bodies. The control cavity is 1.4in. / 35.5mm deep. The bodies are thinner than a standard strat. Let me know if you have any other questions. I've still got mine taken apart for heavy modifications.

Got the pink Sonic Squier Strat yesterday to mod it, but the on board humbucker already sounds surprisingly good. Note i am not a beginner (i started on an acoustic with .13 strings, auw) but i would certainly recommend this guitar not only to beginners. I've heard some complaints about the tuners, but my guitar is still perfectly in tune after i played it heavily yesterday with lots of string bending. Aside from having only one sound - which is great and would probably be my favorite setting anyway - and the neck feeling a tad dry (or perhaps i just can't believe it feeling this good for so little money) this guitar is the most bang for the buck. Note it is my very first new guitar, i normally always buy second hand! And no, i am not sponsored but i anybody thinks so, please refund me for my Sonic Strat guitar.

I just pick up a sonic ss telecaster, and i absolutely love it. The neck is really really good! These really seem to be so much nicer than the bullet series.

its grainy and a bit of a demon for grunge, wouldnt play high classical on it! But any late 70s thru 2000s songs sound perfect for it

Best advice you gave find a guitar that speaks to you, and is easy on your eyes too! Its so dissapointing to fall out with your guitar... don't settle for second choices, get the badboy/ girl of your guitar dreams to begin with. Romance is in the air x

The comment about the Sonic Series being an improvement on the Bullet Series is nothing but marketing guff. If anything, the Telecaster Bullet (for example) is a night and day better version with an actual string through body. It's true that budget guitars are way better than they were 20, 30, 40 years ago.. But they've remained at a similar standard for many years now.

my bullet fsr mustangs have 12" radii which is better than 9.5 for me so the bullets are great, depending on which model i guess.

I don't have a Bullet, but as far as i am concerned in comparison to Sonic it is the same low budget guitar from the same brand, just in a different time with a different name. So it is very unlikely they differ that much to say a Bullet is a miss compared to this. Aside from that, competition driven marketing does not work for everybody, certainly not for those that have no Bullets. I do have a Fender Player Mustang with string through body, which i like a lot. In comparison the Sonic Squier series are a very good pick. And you can turn it into a real partstrat which is the sort of marketing that works for Fender and for me. You can even drill holes in them to make the guitar string through body. T

Indonesia. We have brand new Sonic Strat (Indonesia) and it is way better than Chinese model reviewed anywhere on youtube. Probably better quality control I guess.

​@@guitarguitarukI got the ltd. ed. bronco bass in purple from fender's website, all it needed out the box was tuned up, and the finish really grew on me, my only gripe is the pickup is noisy, but I plan on swapping it out anyway
