Really curious how these held out. For any boom pole with a bottom exit you can get a 90° XLR adapter for like $5-510 bucks then you get the advantage of the angle and preventative damage on a small piece of metal that's fairly easily replaced. Another option would be to get a XLR cable with a 90° connector on it. That was my plan to go with the internal cabled neewer and throw a 90 on there, Although I am not that satisfied with the build of it so I've taken it off my wishlist.
