How did you cope with mosquitoes? I’m going to explore Ubud and Gili Air in December and will obviously pack a strong deet repellent. How did you find it mosquito wise?

The first time I visited bali I also took super strength deet stuff that I bought in the UK. Ever since then I've just bought the stuff you can buy in every shop in Bali and it works great, smells nice and cost barely anything. It's called Soffell. It contains deet.

Air is a great shout, but you should pop over to T for a day at least on the public boat. You're going to have a fantastic time on the islands I'm sure! Have fun!

Great video! I opted for Gili T bc although we are a fam with 3 kids (+ not into partying), I figured it could offer more selection for a longer stay. We also booked a shared place q quick walk frm the harbour for the first week to meet ppl + learn about the island. Then we booked 3 wks at a private airbnb so we can relax + chk out the more central/north part of the island. Thks for tip of regina’s pizza. My kids want pizza wherever we go in the world 😅😂

I booked the Orion Prince after seeing this. They stopped this route. Still sent me a confirmation email a couple of days before even though they stopped sailing to Gili Air weeks earlier.

Ahh that sucks. When I last went on it they only operated between Gili Trewangan, North West lombok and South Bali. I wasn't aware that they ever ran to Gili Air. I hope you had a great time on the island after you finally arrived though! Thanks for watching mate. Chris

Gili Trewangan. Stay at a hostel called "my mates place" if you're looking for a good party. They also have private rooms.
