Which Island Was Better? Gili Meno or Gili Air? We'll explain how great--but different--both are!

Our 2 weeks in the Gili’s were amazing! The experiences! Peaceful surroundings! Gorgeous sunsets! Surreal snorkeling! We can’t wait to show you!
One week on Gili Meno and one week on Gili Air, gorgeous tropical islands with white sand beaches surrounded by coral reef, just a ferry ride away from Bali or Lombok, Indonesia. We will compare our food, accommodation, transportation and shopping experiences, our adventures snorkeling, and our recommendations for what type of traveler might most enjoy each island (scuba divers, romantic, solo, someone needing walkability or accessibility). We'll discuss the vibe of each island. Gili Air and Gili Meno have 2 very different spirits yet each one makes you never want to leave.

I really enjoyed this video. I learned to scuba dive on Gili T back in 2001 - and boy have things changed! Back then Gili T was still the party island, but it was still pretty quiet. Gili Air and Meno were super quiet, no wifi - looks like Air is now like what T used to be like. I'd love to go back and check it out. Funny thing is my dive company was Blue Marlin - they were awesome so its great to see that they have expanded! Can you still order dinner by picking your fish from the pile they caught that day? I'd never eaten fish until then. I'd pick a red snapper or a barracuda or something and they would fry it up in garlic - so amazing! Thanks for sharing, this brought back some great memories.

Oh wow! That fish cooking thing sounds amazing! I didn’t see anything like that though so maybe no longer an option. On Gili Air, during the pandemic they sold off their restaurant, PJ’s, which is attached, but that’s where the free breakfast is and they had good food and drinks so we spent most evenings there watching the young crew and diving guests play volleyball and slack line as the sun went down. Super cool vibe. I notice Blue Marlin has a few locations. Next time we will probably get certified to dive there.
