Can you please post a video of reliability and maintenance for tracking and daily driving of the giulia, I’m really considering buying one, I just wanna make sure it’s not gonna be a nightmare

Yeah I could do that. I’ve been behind on content because I’ve been making videos for another channel. But I think that’s worth doing.

Very helpful review, keep them coming! I am not looking to track my car but want lower ride height than standard and reduce bounce. Would you recommend ST or these with the software update?
@Squadrafoglio
@Squadrafoglio 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! These for sure. Mid damper is even more stable than STs. And trust me you won’t enjoy scraping your splitter on everything.

@@Squadrafoglio thanks and do you recommend that I get the GMS camber kit as well if I am only using for street use? Or you think I can skip that?
@Squadrafoglio
@Squadrafoglio 2 жыл бұрын
@@raptor2126 tbh I would skip that. If you ever want to improve the handling do it. It is a pretty big difference. But unless you are really trying to drive the car hard, no point really!

100% everyone should do the CDMA. Even my 2018 used to scrape with the tall springs- so not even does my car feel much more composed and faster in corners; but also more usable everyday.

Did you not find the gtam suspension software resolved most of the bounce/unsettling
@Squadrafoglio
@Squadrafoglio 2 жыл бұрын
I may not have been very clear on that. The software resolved most of the bouncing with the ST springs, this is just an improvement over that. And the unsettling was a different scenario involving weight transfer. Think of it this way too: race mode with the software and ST springs, was closer to (or in between) the mid damper with the software and these springs.

Do you have the Corsa Spring installed or the GTA spring? Is there a gigantic difference between the two? I have ST lowering springs and need to get these off. Corsas not available right now. Worth waiting or GTA spring is a good alternative? I do daily driving in city like environment.
@Squadrafoglio
@Squadrafoglio Жыл бұрын
I wish I had a clear answer on this but I don’t yet. I will be trying out the very corsas soon (probably just driving Jason’s car). In theory they are better for the street because of the dual spring rate but yet to be confirmed by me. I’ll try and let you know when I know! Might be in the next week actually.

There seems to be a myth about ride height on the 2018 vs other years. I brought this up to the owner of the Alfa/Maserati/Ferrari dealer and we literally went and measured several years of Guilia Quadrifoglio and there was no difference. Also have had my car at multiple car events where Ive had 4+ of other model years next to me with no obvious difference. Ive considered lowering mine but have hesitated due to hearing many folks complain about ride quality and rubbing. Frankly the stance looked better once i did the 5mm spacers all round. I live in Seattle and going lower is just too problematic I think. Once it is retired as my daily driver I will do it. Our V12 Vantage S is more than enough stress being low. I have ceramic coated Redstar de-cat downpipes, car is tuned via Eurocompulsion, Forge turbo wastegate recirculation system, Forge Throttle intake tubes(because oem can split), Eurocompulsion intake system, BMC filter, Eurocompulsion heat exchanger. I never have any issues now this has all been completed, had some growing pains at the start because a shop messed up...but after that only allow the dealer to do the work, they only allow one specific tech to touch my car and its a joy to own.

Will the gtam suspension tuning work good with 2017 stock spring? 17 spring is lower than 18+ Or are they too soft? In your opinion.

Jason from Alfissimo has had it on his personal car with 2017 springs and it is an improvement. But I would highly recommend aftermarket springs too. It really improves the car.

I have the ST Springs, with Camber kit - how do you like these springs vs the ST so far? Is it worth switching out springs or is the Tune for the suspension enough w/ST?
@Squadrafoglio
@Squadrafoglio 2 жыл бұрын
The tune would be a massive improvement. Extremely worth it. Cannot recommend it enough… as for the springs. As I mentioned to another comment: race mode with the software and ST springs was closer to the mid damper setting of these springs with the software. If you want the best performance, these are the best springs. But if you’re happy with the car now and you don’t go to the track, the software would still be worth it. Because it dramatically improves the ride.
