Born and raised in South Florida but had no real trails back in the day. Been in North Georgia for 20 years now and on a recent road trip back down to Florida I rode Alafia for the first time and I gotta say its an awesome fun trail to ride. Its a cant miss if you are driving through. Another amazing trail i found was on VIrginia Key in Miami its smaller but similarly built trail to Alafia right on the bay its soooo coool!

This is my home park so happy you finally got here so much riding in such a small space and never too far from the parking lot...you can take 2 hours and get a good workout. Sorry about humidity, winter is a bit better for riding down here.

There’s usually a gator that like to hang out on buzzards bay trail. Seen him there a couple times; he’s usually right on the trail as it cuts back heading back towards the main trail.

These are the trails I helped build, maintain, modify (along with many other people) over time, and learned to MB on. Alafia (pronounced Al-a-fi, hard "i"... I don't know why), along with Balm-Boyette trails only 5 miles away, are still my favorite trails... and yeah, they'll work you, BUT SO MUCH FUN!!! 🤙✌ P.S. they do cross country foot races, bike races, Fat Tire Fest and equestrian riding too!

Being someone born and raised in Florida. Florida -> Coastal Paradise eeeeehhhhhhhhhhhhhhh not so sure about that. lol That way hotter and way muckier is the norm. People don't understand how bad heat is when you have high humidity. 85-90 degrees here is like 100+ in the desert.
