Well done from beginning to end. Nice scripted common sense presentation. SMOOTH background music, and full coverage of all knives in low weight. Personally after 50 years of carry in L.A. law enforcement (read Puma back in the dinosaur age) my favorite is a axis lock and a BIG thumb hole. AKA Spyderco Manix or Benchmade Griptillian. I sharpen on Spyderco systems and especially Edge Pro with clamps. I love S30V or S35V - but have all the EXOTICS too! I buff the blades with BUFFALO leather weekly. I could shave with them. Again, extremely well put together and professional presentation.

When mentioning the Gerber LST, it should also be mentioned that knife designer/maker Blackie Collins was the instigator for the first plastic handled knife. That LST was Blackie Collins' design, and instead of royalties, he had Gerber buy him a new car. Blackie did love his cars and motorcycles, but that was probably one of his worst payoffs for a revolutionary knife design. Before the LST, no one was thinking of plastic (FRN) handles for lightweight pocket knives.

Those little Gerbers are so reminiscent of their Moki made lock-backs of old, but in plastic. The current Moki versions are beautifully, but a little heavy to fit here! I like the Böker plus at the end too! The Böker Plus Wasabi was, perhaps, the omission here as it compares so well with the CEO, but trumps it in almost every way... in my opinion!

You forgot the Kershaw Atmos. It's really light, with a deep carry pocket clip that hides the knife in the pocket. The clip is reversible to left-hand carry as well. The 8cr13mov blade is a hollow grind at about 3 inches in length. I'm not a huge fan of the speed safe assisted opening, but for the price tag of around $40 US, it's a good option. For small hands, the fraxion is essentially the same thing at a slightly smaller size.

There were a lot of cool knives that didn't make the list. I couldn't even keep it to a top ten in this case lol! The Bugout out wins vs the Deka in the weight department, so I didn't think it would be right to show the Hogue in this case, even though I love it and it is quite a bargain these days. Great video DCA!! I’m looking for a good little neck knife or a little pocket folder! Something in the $100-250 range with a good blade steel! What’s your recommendation?
@3vanguardofthephoenix3354 жыл бұрын
What do you want your knife to do? Be small and light, maybe sacrificing strength? Do you want a meat cleaver for butchering? Do you want a more self defense knife? Do you want something classy you could sport at a wedding without it being an "agressive" bowie knife? Depends on what you want from your knife. In my opinion ive never worn a neck knife, they seem a little to small, or if they are bigger, too heavy a burden on mah neck lol. If you want a neck knife because they are "quick deploy tactical" think about this. If someone is trying to rob you or whatever, whats the possibility that you cant get your shirt up and pull your neck knife out? I think in most cases an assisted opening folder will probably be better suited for self defense. Depending on where you live there may be laws worth looking into to see if its legal to carry certain knives. Here in South Dakota, as long as its on the hip, youre golden cowboy. Guns, bowie knives, asp baton. Whatever suits your fancy, it just cannot be concealed Hope this evokes some thought, to help you make a wise and satisfying decision! Best of luck
