Until this video, I had no idea what wagon ruts in a broad area looked like. Thank you.

I'm enjoying your channel, which I only stumbled across recently. I'm in Kansas City, so this is history in my backyard. I've been to many of the places in your videos. Have you visited the National Trails Museum in Independence, MO? That's where the Sante Fe, California, and Oregon Trails began. They have a real cool museum and there are other nearby sites of historic interest.

The national trails museum is definitely on my list but every time I go up there it’s closed. Imagine that I will hit independence again this summer. It looks like a really good museum to learn about the trails. I’m glad that you found my channel and I am glad that you’re enjoying The outings.

Have walked these ruts many times. Just down the road to the south is Battle of Black Jack site……May be the location of the first battle of the Civil War……Worth checking out……enjoyed your well done video. Thanks

From a new subscriber in Melbourne, Australia, thanks for the informative video! History is always interesting to me. As an author of a sporting book that involved researching history dating back to the 1870s, I found one has to be extremely careful in ‘continuing the story’ and to not just rely on information ‘perceived’ to be authentic, and 100% accurate. If you delve deeper and deeper into a subject or location and the people involved so long ago, one minor non-truth or misconception or mistaken ‘fact’ from that period will just get passed on down over the years from one generation to the next until it’s considered to be…fact! However, you can only do a certain amount of research and fact-finding, as it can be extremely time-consuming! Usually these historical sites and characters from so long ago, have very interesting back stories. I also thoroughly enjoyed your recent Jesse James videos. As a sporting nut, I’d be really interested to see something pertaining to sports etc. - if possible? Keep up the great work Julian! It’s appreciated Down Under! 👍🇦🇺
