The Double Trouble is pretty dang awesome to my ears. Love to have it. This is more timely than you know. Was just having a conversation with another YT'er regarding the wait list. Just now shipping to people that got on the list in 2017!? I really don't get they hype of KoT. It is a damn good pedal but too many other choice options to me. I could be dead in 3 years..... Excellent playing and shootout Kris ! Always nice to discover new gear that is not out of reach time wise or price wise. The Clean Drive Plus is an excellent surprise. Sounds killer with that Tele. For me, one pedal does it all: SuperSigna by CmatMods. Versatile OD, 3 clipping modes, 3 band EQ, independent boost with separate dialing in. No other pedal I have/play, even TS or Jam Lucy Dreamer Supreme (very good too) offers this much versatility, sponginess and tone quality. Hand made and assembled in the USA by Chad Matthews and his team, its top quality and attractive price (140 $) lead me to acquire an additional one for a second board/backup. Highly recommended.

Great video. Love those Hungary pedals what a tone. Especially i like the plus mode from the Clean Drive. What a nice tone. Can you also get that tone from the Double Trouble?
@ericcarpenter32634 жыл бұрын
Wow brother. There was one riff you played with the KOT vs. DT and I really liked the DT much better. I would think they have different topologies but for the most part they were similar... but there was one spot that was jaw dropping better in my opinion. And yeah, cranking the amp made the pedal so much better. Way more interactive and the headroom was really on display. Thanks for doing this and much love from Tulsa.
@KrisBarocsi4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Eric!! Yeah, the DT and the KoT are somewhat similar but also very different. For that glassy and natural sound I actually prefer the Honey Bee. Man it sounds so flawless. The medium gain sounds of the KoT is why I love that pedal. So different animals these two. Haha!
@ericcarpenter32634 жыл бұрын
@@KrisBarocsi yeah the medium gain on the KOT is greatness. I had never really heard about Honey Bee, but DAAYYUUMMM. That company has really put something special out. From the pictures of the inside you showed, they look like full size parts and really well put together. I wanna like small parts and I’m sure they sound the same but there is something about the artistry of the inside of the pedal. Don’t get me started on the hardwired, point to point that I see on the internet. That stuff is crazy beautiful. Just cool to see that big, old school parts are still being used and companies aren’t going to multi layer small part boards.
@Kurt90993 жыл бұрын
I just got the Clean Drive & The Double Trouble and they are amazing pedals. Perhaps the best pedal I've tried with my 66' Super Reverb. Using the Clean Drive with my Super on 3 sounds like my Super on 8 but on steroids and crack. It's makes everything so tight-sounding. It reigns in the highs, adds this subtle low end that makes up for keeping the bass on my Super at 2 but doesn't flub at all. And the mids are just perfect. I'm not sure which freq. it's boosting but it sounds like it was made for blackface amps. The Clean Drive side of the Double Trouble is exactly like the Clean Drive only pedal. I got both just in case there was a slight difference but I don't detect any differences when set the same. The SRV side is a great sound but the mid hump is such that I would have to be in the mood for that sound to use it as I'm not much of a tube screamer guy. It sounds great but the Clean Drive is so much the sound I've been looking for, I think I'll spend much more time with that.

Sweet tones man. I have a Dynamis as well, white, from Thomann ^^, likely the most beautiful clean channel I have ever played (and my benchmark is a '73 Fender Twin that I had for some 20 years). But somehow I can't seem to get a tone I like from the crunch channel, you seem to be always using the clean channel as well?
@KrisBarocsi4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Christian! Yeah the clean channel of the Dynamis is absolutely magical! Thanks why I bought it. I wan't even looking at the gain channel to be honest, because if I wanna use amp distortion I choose the Mesa Mark III over any other amp (for the most part). I got some pretty awesome crunch sounds out of the Dynamis red channel too, especially when cranked. Both switches off and not a lot of gain. I basically maxed out the volume and used the gain knob for volume. What a sound... but it's gonna be loud man. haha! Cheers!
