Are They Alcohol Inks? Waterslides? Tattoos? WHAT?!

A tumbler I started in a recent video then put aside needed to be finished. So I decided to make this a two-fer video in which I finish one SOC Sparkle Dust tumbler then make a second tumbler with a somewhat similar (but different) method, just for the heck of it. I ended up with two gorgeous colorful, sparkly resin tumblers and couldn't be happier. The gods of 'mixing things up a bit better' laughed and laughed.

@@helenradley4498 as long as it’s had time to fully dry, it should be fine. However, if you’re like me and prefer to make sure there won’t be any issues, spraying with a clear spray paint first is an easy CYA choice 😁😁

Thanks! No, I brushed on the SOC sparkle dusts using the Tack-It method, which is a glue that dries tacky so glitter sticks to it. You can see a better example of that method here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/foiyXpmOlNOrfMk

Love your cups & have a question? I followed the links what color of Sparkle Dust did you use, it looks clear, but the colors were like gold, silver, pink & the Tattoos showed 21" long, I didn't see you cut them off so how do you use them? Did I use wrong links?

Thanks! I used 6 different colors of the sparkle dusts and I show them being applied to the tumbler in this video. The link for them is correct and I used the first 6 listed there (everything except dusty purple and alfresco). The link to the tattoos is also correct - the tattoos are 21cm long, which is about 8 inches, so they fit beautifully on most skinny straight tumblers. Hope this helps 😊

can we apply waterslides the way you applied the tattoo as long as it is reversed? I bought the hipoo waterslides and I never get all the water out and I aleays have problems with the edges curling up.

Yes, you absolutely can turn the waterslide (still on its backing sheet) over and put it down on the tumbler then slide the backing sheet off - waterslide backing paper tends to slide off much more easily than tattoo backing, so it's actually even easier to apply waterslides face down, as long as the waterslide has soaked in water long enough to become slidey on the backing first. Hope that makes sense! Courtney over at Courtney's Customs YT channel does her waterslides face down all the time, so definitely check out her videos if you haven't already.
