I love everything you do! You have inspired me so much! Are you still planning to do more videos?
@Luxinda2 күн бұрын
Thank you so much!! At the moment, I'm not planning to do any more videos. I ended up with 730+ videos across 2 channels in 3.5 years, and realized at that point that I was completely burned out and exhausted. So I've moved on to other things. Thank you again for watching and for your kind words!!

can I make a mold of something that has nail polish on it? if its completely dry, with the silicone mold mix part A and B
@Luxinda3 күн бұрын
That is a great question, but unfortunately, I don’t know the answer - I’ve never tried to do that. I would suspect that some of the nail polish might come off as the silicone sets up. But the only way to know is to test it. If you can do a very small test sample first, mix up just a little bit of silicone A and B (literally just a teaspoon or tablespoon of each part) apply it to something that has nail polish on it, let the silicone set up, and then see if it pulls some of that nail polish off. I’m sorry I can’t give you a more definitive answer!

What kind of adhesive did you use for the foil to stick ? Also is his heat transfer foil type ?
@Luxinda6 күн бұрын
I use the Artsyville foil adhesive (you can find it on Amazon: amzn.to/4bvfnZp). I’d add a little water to it so it brushes on smoothly, let dry for at least 30 minutes (longer is better), then apply the foil and rub vigorously. Heat is not required with these foils, and I didn’t usually use heat when doing these foil transfers just the artsyville brush-on adhesive. But some folks swear adding heat with a heat gun as well as rubbing helps the transfer process, and it certainly doesn’t hurt, so go ahead and try it - experimenting is encouraged 😊

I can't get the black lid off. It.doesnt unscrew or pull off. I've scoured the Internet for answers and found your video. Could u let me know how to remove the black lid pls? Fab designs by the way.
@Luxinda17 күн бұрын
Thanks! I’m not sure I can be much help - my black lids all unscrewed without any problems. If you haven’t tried already, my next move would be a pair of small pliers to see if you can get more force behind the unscrewing motion. If that doesn’t work, I’d return it and ask for a replacement. You may simply have gotten a tube with a defective lid or something like that. I’m sorry I don’t have a sure-fire fix for you!

question. After you were done applying the alcohol inks to the tumbler did you seal it again? If so, how many times did you seal it?
@LuxindaАй бұрын
Yes, there’s always a layer or two of clear resin to seal everything once you have the design completed. I don’t usually show those in the videos because there’s nothing to see, and it won’t change the look of the cup design at all so it’s not very interesting to watch. But yes, depending on what’s on the tumbler (vinyl, chunky glitter, etc) it may take a few layers of clear to give a smooth glass-like finish to the whole thing.
@akarphАй бұрын
Hello I noticed your tumbler was not level. Could be why the inks went to the bottom. But definitely a great look (black & gold) was really pretty.

How fast does the Nola Speed dry epoxy take to dry?
@Luxinda2 ай бұрын
Depending on the situation (summer humidity vs winter dry colder air, for example) the speed dry is touchable in about two-three hours. It still needs 72 hours to fully cure. Hope this helps!

What does everyone think is so ugly about the fish eyes I think they look cool 😂😂😂😂
@Luxinda2 ай бұрын
Oh, I completely agree with you! But there are a lot of relatively new resin tumbler makers that get really stressed out by fish eyes because they see them as some sort of imperfection (many KZbin resin makers make fish eyes sound like something to be avoided at all cost). I think in general folks develop their own ideas and expectations then are disappointed when the resin does something different. So in this specific video for newbies - who are often the most stressed out by unexpected fish eyes - I was just trying to help them get the results they want. I actually made several videos embracing and trying to encourage fish eyes, like this one: When Resin Gives you Craters in Your Alcohol Ink Swirl Cup... What type of sandpaper did you use to sand the tumblers?

Hi Cindy! Just wanted to tell you that I miss your magic hands and witty repartee. I saw a funny saying yesterday and you suddenly popped into my mind, so here I am watching your old videos. I hope you’re well, sweetie ❤️ The saying was: “Thou shalt not let low-vibin’ sketchy-ass energy penetrate thy aura” Just sounded like something you might put on a tumbler, so I decided to put it on a tumbler in your honor. But I might change the last part to “harsh thy mellow” 😂😂

Stunning 🤩 are you adding straight alcohol ink to the airbrush sprayer?
@Luxinda2 ай бұрын
Thank you!! Yes, I did use full strength in this video, although I have since experimented with diluting the alcohol inks (especially very pigmented ones like Woodies Goodies) with 99% isopropyl alcohol, and it looks the same on the tumbler and makes the inks last longer.

Can you use UV resin with holographic molds?
@Luxinda2 ай бұрын
I don’t see why not, as long as the uv light can get all the way through the resin to cure it. So it might not work with uv resin that’s been colored with a dense black. In that case, the resin actually touching the mold might still be uncured when you demold. You’d need to experiment with that a bit to see what happens. But any color uv resin that the uv light can shine through should work fine.
