Oh it most definitely is, some of the other ones are good and all but it’s like they’re missing the essence of One Piece. They’re all mostly filled with generic battle shounen stuff past time skip. It’s so weird when you watch a compilation of all the openings, there’s something very different about openings from back then and now. For example, in OP5 and 6, the fighting scenes only start after 1min10s into the opening, before that it’s pretty much just strawhat shenanigans and the ship sailing around. OP23 on another hand is mostly just fighting. I know there are some exceptions to this but generally pre time skip the openings were about fun, and post time skip it’s generally about showcasing battle scenes. Can you imagine how different We Are would feel if it showed Luffy fighting Arlong and Zoro fighting Mihawk during it?

@@TwilightWolf2508 surprisingly, the only memorable spoiler from all of the openings is Ace because two of the openings make it pretty obvious. But everything else is very forgettable specially if they take several months to watch One Piece. Also maybe the fact that the talking skeleton joins the crew, and that they fight a blue dragon later on because there are like three or four openings heavily showing it, but that's pretty minor. I've even seen reactors who watched the openings a year before they caught up to Marineford and by that time Ace caught them completely by surprise.

This op is absolutely amazing and I can't stop listening to it on repeat, seriously it's so good You know what else is really good? Every single OP and ED for Overlord. Literally every single one is a banger. It's the highest overall quality I've ever heard from anime OPs and EDs. A more specific recommendation I'd have is ED 10 for Dragon Ball Super, 70cm四方の窓辺, or By A 70cm Square Window. It might be the most poignant and powerful ED ever put to the anime format, though that might just be my Dragon Ball fanboy coming through. EDIT: You mentioned that you finished Arlong Park, so you should know why putting the One Piece in the ocean wouldn't be safe because fishmen are a thing :V

One Piece is a very fun story to consume Aside from basic plot elements like "Here's the boss Luffy will fight and here's his side bosses the rest of the crew will fight" or "this is their current goal" the show is decently hard to predict. "THIS is the next island?" "THIS is how he beats them?" "THIS is the backstory?" "THIS is behind the scenes?" It's always fun to see people theorize... and eventually end up wrong because Eichiro Oda.
