When Nike announced this ISPA lineup, I got really excited. I had been wanting a pair of tabis for years but only recent bought a pair earlier this year. I bought both colorways of these and picked the Road Warriors up too. The Road Warriors are the most comfortable shoes I own now, well past my Yeezy 350's, and the Drifters are also pretty far up there. The Road Warriors are a little more difficult to pair with outfits, but they definitely make the fit when it does work out.

I just used a sharpie on mine and it made the exposed foam evenly black. I think it makes the sneaker look cleaner and if a piece breaks off I can just color the broken part and it’ll match.

Great review as always! I’ve always been a fan of the tabi construction in sneakers. I try to keep my white NikeLab Free Rift Sandals in pristine condition, but they don’t resist much to hard scuffs. These iSPA series is fire imo (as well as your Y-3 rain coat btw).

I have the envelopes as well, picked up the black pair. They match a surprising amount of outfits, and being able to switch from super ventilated to water resistant on the fly is the perfect accompaniment to nike joyride. Also, the comfort is a solid 9 out of 10. Easily one of the comfier shoes I own, and certainly wide foot friendly.

Black uppers and a white midsole would have been such an ideal colourway. I had to opt in for the Nike Aqua rifts in black instead which does also have a split toe. Haven’t looked back since.

I was wondering if you'd consider doing a video on watches at any point, I know it's not your niche but I think it would be interesting to consider the different ways they could complement tech fits, apple/smart watches, G-shocks through to more industrial skeleton pieces from brands like phantoms lab or even franck muller, I'd love to hear your takes on them. Also, would you consider doing a video on hoodies? I wore out a pair of Air Rifts in the early 200Xs. The tabi cut isn’t uncomfortable so long as they’re the correct fit for your size. They will absolutely suck if the size is off. You have to stock tabi socks to support them though. It was much harder back before Amazon got gud.

Antwon evolved into Rapidash! I'm not a fan of the split toe but while I'd never get them for myself my friend recently bought the Margiela tabi boots and I think I'm slowly warming up to them. These sneakers are still pretty ugly, but I think other people could make them look cool in the right fit.

Sorry - it’s me again. These shoes are a real “Marmite” product - you either love them or hate them (if you’re not familiar with Marmite and it’s ad campaign. NB other yeast products are available) but the rather neural colour palette contrasts the features pretty well. I’m a bit put off by the Sacai style heel but I otherwise like these a lot

Actually your big toe getting stretched away from the foot would be a great health improvement. The natural human foot (before we wore shoes all day) was kinda V shaped. That's the actual reason so many people started doing barefoot stuff. I'd kinda love for the mainstream to go back there so we at some point in the future I don't have to choose spicy footwear over health.

They're the Garuda Aiqtisas pants - quite uncommon to get dryskin in navy, but Suhail (the founder) can do pretty much anything including variations on models so if there's something specific you're after it's worth asking!

Come on Antwon...its supposed to look like tabi sandals...you know the original fuedal japanese footwear, well the socks with the traditional sandals since they wore wooden flip flops with the tabi socks since normal socks don't have a split for their flip-flop like design they used. Thats why it has the wide base like a sandal...and the sandal straps splitting the toes apart like you said. In that aspect its actually quit retrofruturist. Or maybe more accurately fuedalfuturist?

I'm not opposed to crazy ideas or "tabi" style shoes (I quite like the idea), but I absolutely HATE these. I don't think the "sock compatibility" trade off is even slightly justified considering that they still have a massive and rigid sole (in comparison to those "barefoot shoes") so you're not gaining a lot of flexibility. Feels like way too much shallow aesthetics and little functionality. Looking forward to the bag and Veilance videos! :^)

Nice review/video and all but I still can't get over the association of the split-toe looking like a pig foot. I find this style so ugly I can't even express it by words. As a traditional Japanese sandal style thing, this might look good but not on sport sneaker. I wish you would've reviewed the 'ispa overreact flyknit' instead because I'm considering buying those.
