I just think they're experimenting and having fun. That's the true vibe of GFBF. From what I have seen (1) People immediately love this song, (2) Are turned off by the auto tune and hate it (3) Or are thrown off at first and then it grows on them. I'm number 3.

These guys do everything deliberately and they could definitely have produced this without autotune. But the magic of this duo is they make the art they want, not what anyone else thinks they should, not even their fans. After all it is a song about breaking out and running free. I'm not a fan of the autotune, but I respect the overall product, the words are fire and the beat is definitely catchy. 🔥

This song is garbage. The Dollar General lyrics…. The terrible auto tune, and the themes that don’t even match. He says “icy icy” when he shows his watch… who since 1998 has referred to jewelry as ice. And even worse: what does that have to do with the theme of being free like a wild horse??? “Yo, I got my bling!! Just like a wild horse!”.
