The pacific is slightly different from the universe. Even if you were the size of a grain of sand the pacific still wouldn’t be anywhere near the size of universe. If you were living on an world that was the size of an atom of a grain of sand on a beach on an island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean you’d be getting to a fraction of the size of the universe, and, you might reasonably assume you were the only place in the universe life existed.

@@saberiandream316 We are here because of chains of super super rare events. The fact that dinosaurs never developed any form of super intelligence for million's of years tell you something. There is simply no significant merits in developing intelligence that could build civilizations or space exploration. No species existed on earth had any signs of super intelligence. Notice I have used the word super intelligence. Apes and we are pretty alike, yet they dont have what we have. Let alone the chance of chemical evolution. How about abiogensis ? How about stable condition for 3.7 billion years ? Despite the vastness of universe, there might be only one that can form super intelligence. To the people who are this optimistic, do you believe the big bang has happened more than once ? Just because it had happened doesnt mean it is guaranteed to happen.

Or heck don't even realise these signals are artificial in nature and just ignore them. There's simply too many what ifs. But I personally think our best bet is to just look, anything that defies what we know as "natural" could be the result of other intelligent life goofing around in the universe.

So in a nutshell would you stop at an anthill and wonder “Do these ants know humans exist? We need to communicate with these ants and let them know that we exist!” 😬Of course that would seem ridiculous. Why would we (humans) be so vain (and ignorant) to think that an advanced civilization would want to make contact? And every other intelligent lifeform/ race were in a similar situation we would never meet up until our technology allowed us to overcome the massive gravitational forces. So sending signals out into space would be pointless. We would also be unable to receive signals. The voyager space craft was reported to have encountered a barrier of some kind at the edge of the known universe which led to me thinking along these lines.

@@babyj5184 When other people mention that the moon or Mars photos are blurred or grainy I always direct them to the video testimony of the late Sergeant Karl Wolf who worked at the NSA/Nasa facility where he stated that he thought it was weird when photos were released to the public that were grainy or out of focus as he personally knew that the government had the ability to take high definition photographs of the moon and other things as he had seen the photos himself. It just sickens me this constant lying the government keeps up despite all the evidence and eye witnesses. They really are the equivalent of the Catholic Church from the middle ages when other people were talking about astronomy and science and were being ridiculed or murdered by the church so that everyone else kept believing their narrative of the world and how things were. Sounds familiar doesn't it, now the churchs role has been replaced by a military and space agency which thinks it has to power and authority to dictate to every other free human being on the planet what they are allowed to know about the truth of the world and the universe. I actually really hope an advanced alien race arrives soon to release the truth to the world and to give all the military a good beating at the same time as they will be trying to stop any such disclosure. It's a matter of scale. That's why we haven't detected a signal from anybody out there. Consider this, we sent the first really powerful signal into space only about 75 years ago. Travelling at the speed of light, that's a bubble about 75 light-years across, in a pond that is 100,000+ light-years across and 15,000 light-years deep. Any other civilization out there is in the same boat. There could be a civilization that sent its first radio signal into space 23,000 years ago, but they're located 25,000 light-years away, so it's going to be a while before we hear from them. These incredibly ridiculous distances are the same reason I doubt the stories of "alien visitors".

Let me see? The number of suns in our galaxy is a number I find hard to contemplate. Then there are a similar number of galaxies. Yes we hear about planets in goldilock zones, etc. . However, now we are considering that there may be life on the moons of jupiter, saturn, etc. with potential oceans under the ice layers which could be heated by the core of these celestial bodies. Recently we have some evidence that they may be life in the clouds of Venus and whilst life may not be present on Mars now, there seems to be fairly substantial evidence that there once was. Thus in 2021 we have still no discounted the possibility of life in our solar system on planets, etc other than our own and are not likely to in the foreseeable future. And this is only a search mostly based on carbon life forms. Now consider the shear unbelievable size of the universe. Thus my conclusion based on simple mathematics is an absolute 100% yes that life must exist elsewhere. Enough said.
