I think just being more raw and authentic would make it better. Like an example from this episode is you guys not saying the celebrities name that asked if naz was ok. Theres literally no harm in saying it, its not a crazy story or putting them on blast… they literally jist asked it she was ok.. but it adds some interest. The best podcasts are trusting and forthcoming with their audience in a way that engages them and makes them feel a part of the conversation. This just feels like you guys start stories but are like “nevermind we cant tell you guys” Its kind of like just watching two people think of random things to talk about that they wouldn’t talk about otherwise if it werent for the sake of the podcast. Treat it like a convo with your sis, like the podcast was portrayed. I hope thats helpful! Again, its your podcast so do as you please but just feedback.

@maric54692 ай бұрын
i hope y'all don't take this the wrong way but this podcast comes off very surface level. No one's asking you to bare your soul, but these episodes don't "feel" authentic. Also it just seems like y'all are talking to talk but there's no substance in the convos. Maybe talk more about your cultures, navigating certain life experiences (yas talking about the transition from college to real world or naz talking about moving away from home, becoming a young mom, etc.) maybe give an advice segment? I saw others mention starting the episodes with a highlight from the week and letting that dictate the flow of conversation

I saw a comment saying “less self-help and more girl-chat.” I think that might be the best constructive criticism for you guys. Also, it seems like people want to hear more about your middle eastern culture. Personally, I would like to hear about your experiences dating outside of your race. I am a daughter of an immigrant and also in an interracial relationship. can you talk about your experience maneuvering through that because in my case, it was very difficult at first. P.S. Your audience does not want self help and advice podcast. It’s okay to sprinkle that in there, but that’s not what your subscribers solely want. Based off of the promo you guys did for this podcast that’s the wrong direction. When we talk to our sis we’re having vulnerable conversations. Truthfully 80% of the time you’re both saying a whole not of nothing and talking at your audience. It lacks an aspect of realness and seems like you’re more concerned with maintaining a perfect image

i love yas but she is trying too hard with this feminine energy thing. its coming off inauthentic. I get what she is trying to do and stay classy but you can do that and still have a personality and not be boring not saying that yas is but there is a middle ground between drama/"spilling tea vs what we are getting. Naz is much better with this and can be herself and we can SEE she is having fun being herself which is why her main channel is so successful, shes comfortable talking. but there is this general stiff vibe of the podcast. like you guys dont know why you're there or uncomfortable/dont want to be there. its normal for the first few episodes since you're knew to podcasting but if this doesn't come naturally or you guys dont want to open up or think there needs to be a vibe shift then this might not be the best way to connect with your audience and actually is hurting your public perception. if i watch any episodes i watch on 2x speed. just gotta loosen up a bit and have more passion. you guys say the right things but through body language and the way you guys speak and just vibes its obvious you guys are not fully in this im so sorry i supprt u guys and have been watching since ohio days and always will just being honest also i dont know if its uncomfort around podcasting or just weirdness between you two and your relationship. it just doesn't feel like you guys are close or actually vibe with each other like that. again naz will try but i feel like yas is always killing the convo with these pick-me answers.

All the people complaining would not even have the backbone to put their faces on camera for thousands of people to see 😅 so I’m proud of you guys for venturing into something new It’s only the first season so give yourself grace. I think time and just testing out different things will reveal what the best direction is for the show. And it’s natural to feel torn about wanting to be authentic but also maintaining privacy so I feel you on that! Some ideas that popped into my head: - Call in segments having women share their stories or questions while on the phone with you two - have women submit an audio or video of an interesting story time of theirs and then you guys give your thoughts on it. Maybe rotate the themes like worst date stories, crazy travel stories, most embarrassing moments etc - possibly having a live podcast one day that way it’s uncut and feels like it’s in it’s raw unedited state since people are saying they enjoy the raw material best - behind the scenes bloopers at the end of a show to help people see the imperfect sides of this journey - guest takeovers having someone else host I wish you guys the best on this journey ❤❤❤

A few suggestions from a long time viewer of you both: 0\ The pod doesn’t have to be one way and should really be all things - advice, how to’s, mindset, guests (would love to see/learn from your parents), q&a, story time, tea, etc. - bc you have all kinds of viewers For the mom viewers who are tryna do it all we want to know/see… 1\ Yas share more about her current day to day and how she got there - literally how does she pay her bills? What’s the blueprint? 2\ What are your goals/aspirations and how are you getting there? I think it would be dope to cut to vlog style content as you guys work towards 30/60/90 day or long term type goals or just how you stay organized and motivated 3\ what internal/emotional/mental goals are you working towards - or what personal awareness are you developing 4\ shopping/fashion - where are yall shopping for what Don’t try to be too scripted or cookie cutter - you are BOTH naturals in your own way to content creation. I think we just want to know how yall make life work in your favor as women and all the roles you play. At least I do. Congratulations on season 1 And best of luck season 2 ❤

Look at Sisters in the City pod as an example. Two Brit Iranian girls. Their podcast is so interesting because they aren’t concerned about coming across as perfect. They talk about their life experiences in real-time, not just the past. That way it feels more immersive and like you’re catching up with friends over drinks. I feel like you both lead such interesting lives but you’re only sharing about 1% of it here. Conversations don’t go very deep and you’re too scared of saying the wrong thing or coming across imperfect

From watching every episode, just some gentle feedback is to caution on the repetitiveness of your content. Even though I agree with the people who say the podcast has gotten pretty boring, I still look forward to it every week. And that’s because it’s you guys. Two amazing, Middle Eastern sisters who have caved their way in the online and offline world. I think you guys try to fit yourself into the standard ‘influencer’ box, when you are so much more than that. And I think that that’s frustrating for your viewers, because we know you both actually have depth and character, but you guys are sooo guarded. There is a fear of not being ‘perfect’ (which is understandable with all these eyes on you). But people are kind of sick of all the ‘perfection’ online. We want the real, the raw, the unedited, the unscripted. But that’s a decision you guys have to make for yourself: do you want to bring down the walls and be more vulnerable, or does that feel too invading and you rather keep things the way they are? And either way is fine, but I think you will keep running into these issues with your podcast if you decide to keep things the way they are. So than the next question is going to be if a podcast is a good fit for you guys at this point in life, even though I REALLY would love if you guys continued doing it ❤

It’s like watching a show and waiting for the next season to come on by then you already have moved on. Also, I love Yas and I enjoy watching her channel but on a podcast you need to show more personality and I feel like she is lacking it here. Naz has always been real and authentic with her audience. I love it.

I love this podcast! I do agree with a lot of the comments that Naz seems more comfortable with herself than Yas. It comes off as trying too hard. I also notice sometimes Yas wants to be the one to make a point over Naz. Just in general working on not talking over each other. Other than that I think bringing guests on would be so fun to watch!

I totally agree with everyone saying giving ppl advice. Like viewers can email yall and you both give your personal advice to their situation. That’s the best way to incorporate something spicy without divulging too much into your personal lives. Plus it’s very entertaining and there will always be ppl who can relate to the situation.
@Lyvvanea2 ай бұрын
I think you guys just need segments and more raw conversation. Maybe don’t try to come from a standpoint of trying to give advice just more conversational. Segment ideas 1. Catch up share what went on in your week 2. Pop culture or a trending show review 3. The conversation topic of the day 4. An advice or email segment Hope that’s a bit helpful and that you have a good break! ❤

More constructive criticism as I’m watching the second half of this episode , I feel like if we send you guys juicy questions you’re still going to answer them super basic and surface level and the response won’t be juicy so there will kind of be no point in it…. What would have been interesting to hear about what have been your guises initial reactions to the last episode? Like were you guys angry? What was the conversation like? What points did you go over with each other etc

i hope they look at these comments 😅 i feel like everyone is giving GREAT direction and requests and everyone is being very constructive. we love you guys just be yourselves! show your personalities. there are self help podcasts everywhere we turn

How bout instead of a topic… start off with what you did do this week. Is Yas dating? Tell us about the dating scene? Did Naz have a family day cool, did you have any hiccups with the kids or hubby? Tell us! You can keep it private while also giving up a lil bit of your individuality. Still love ya. Maybe old school mukbang talks. When Yas was in her car vlogs eating and having random talks were my favorite! Keep it real and stop second guessing yourselves

I have been watching you guys for years and love both of your content. I reallly think you guys are great at what you do. But I have to agree with a lot of the comments here. Nobody wants you guys to be messy and a “drama” podcast. Your vibe is not giving that and not us either. I just think you guys need to be more raw and fearless. It would be more interesting if the podcast had segments about current events and your opinions on them. Could be pop culture or other things. And also mix in advice, q & a. Another tip is to not beat around the bush with certain topics. Either you mention something/your opinion on it or don’t bring it up in the podcast. It’s just annoying and that is why people feel like you guys are not real. For instant the episode about subscribers asking about certain people in your past life. Hopefully it will better next season ❤️

Love you two! How about a Dear Sis series where people can submit questions and we can get two different advise. Perspective one as a single and one as married sister 💡Maybe added as an additional day podcast

I feel like you have to have a vulnerable personality if you want to podcast. The whole point is sharing. It’s very different from vlogs because you’re just sitting. People have to be pulled in somehow. I feel like if you aren’t vulnerable, your podcast will have to be about a specific thing you are teaching instead of just lifestyle and randomness. if that makes sense.

I think really good podcasts require a certain level of vulnerability to invite the audience in. I think it's great that you guys took a chance on the podcast but I would love to see what happened if you guys took a chance on being your authentic selves. Definitely would work on structure as well as topics. There is a lot of repetition of topics and opinions. Please don't be afraid to be controversial.

I really am a big fan of you girlies and I watch all of Naz’s uploads on her main channel but I’m sorry to say I don’t think you guys have found your rhythm with this podcast yet :/ It feels like a self help course instead of getting to know our fav KZbinrs in a more personal way. Every episode sorta feels the same and like you guys are saying super generic things to not offend/be controversial. Of course we’re not looking for drama but we’d love to connect with you guys more and get a more authentic, raw version than what we’ve seen so far. I’m not counting this podcast out yet though, sending great vibes for the next season 🩷

I’m not here for the drama neither. I actually really enjoyed this season, just feel like you guys are repeating yourself often and talking about similar things. It happened to me once or twice that I thought that maybe I have played the same episode by accident because I have already heard that. No hate, just constructive criticism as I think you can take that.

Some topics for next season could be travel -especially traveling solo as a woman and then also with small kids is so helpful! Also budgeting in general (I think that’s a topic young women really need to hear? And being content no matter your income?) how you set goals and plan accordingly… manifesting/vision planning? And maybe at the end of every episode both of you could give a little piece of advice to all your “sis”’s? lol.

My favorite podcasts are Chins and giggles and fool coverage and I thought the vibe was going to be similar on some level. I find myself playing your podcast and listening to it but If I walk away I find myself not rewinding to hear what I missed out on and not really caring about the conversation as much as I do others 😭 in a way I only play your podcast as background noise. I hope that makes sense… let loose, be more comfortable, have people write in anonymously about certain topics and y’all read them out loud, talk about your day to day, things going on in your personal lives (things that y’all feel comfortable talking about) have guests etc … wish y’all the best of luck 💖 I am not giving up on y’all!!

Hey Yasmin and Naz✨ Sending love from South Africa🫶 I just wanted to say that I promise you we don’t want drama, and tea, we just want a real raw conversation between sisters, as opposed to a self help, I think in your podcasts, the self help talks come through very strongly and then we lose the light hearted and casual feel of the conversation where you just being you. Literally we just want the sorts of talks you guys would have with your girlfriends/sisters when you guys hangout. I see that coming through from Naz, the causal, light hearted more raw speech, but not so much from Yasmin. I love you both though, don’t take it the wrong way Yasmin(you are such a dope girl). Just giving my little thought But I love that you guys are open to constructive criticism. We will definitely send some topics for the new season and hopefully the topics won’t steer too much in the direction of you guys offering us advice, and rather just you guys offering opinions, and just fully letting go when you do the podcast. Cause we really do wanna see more of your personalities. That was what made me so excited for the podcast was being able to see you guys have unfiltered conversations, and just see more of your personality. Cause you can have unfiltered conversations without gossiping about others, we don’t want that sorta content, and I know you guys aren’t about that, and that’s why you guys are one of my favourite KZbinrs

I will miss watching you guys, but just some feedback I feel like Naz wants to be more open, real, and relatable but since Yaz is more private she holds back. There needs to be some change in regards to that we need more vulnerability & realness specifically from Yaz if you guys want this podcast to succeed.
@dxstiny00152 ай бұрын
I just think the constant self help, be your best self content can come across as we are constantly being lectured and it feels somewhat condescending. People want REAL and RAW and this podcast has NOT been giving that unfortunately. Everything just seems super edited/ polished and we just want interesting honest conversation about REAL LIFE everyday issues/ topics. I don’t feel I have got to know the two of you anymore than what we see on IG, vlogs etc. Also let’s get some guests in so I would love to hear more from MEL and maybe Dani would be a great guest as she is the epitome of REAL N RAW. Also tap into vulnerability a bit more
@ramaramzz81052 ай бұрын
The reason why I like you guys is your values and morals. I didnt want tea on specific people for example I always wondered what happened to Yaz’s friend Ponsee. But I understand airing out dirty laundry online is not mature. But I wanted more tea on brand deals and brand expectations and bad deals like cant you mention their name or you would get sued ? that’s more of the tea I wanted or even you mentioning other influencers at event like why can’t you say if they weren’t what you expected? I would wanna know if I’m following a fake ass influencer lol but I know that would bring you drama 😅

Hello Naz and Yas! I’ve watched Naz since her high school videos. I’ve followed you both for years now. I genuinely like you and your family; truly such genuine people. I enjoy your content on instagram and KZbin. But I’m just not really feeling this podcast. It feels like it’s not about anything? And feels a bit repetitive in topics and conversations. Doesn’t feel structured or like there’s a point to each episode. Mostly feels repetitive in my opinion and a little underwhelming. I can’t really say what the podcast is about. Maybe half of the podcast can be taking questions from viewers who need advice on a situation? “Sisterly advice” and you wash pick a question or entry from viewers. It’s nice to hear about Yas dating life, that’s relatable to me. I think an advice podcast would be great. You’re both super insightful, confident, respectable women and it’s so helpful to hear what you’d advise other women on situations they’re struggling with.
@pennytrue27412 ай бұрын
Disagree. They can incorporate some of your ideas if they like but I do think a lot of their podcasts have had very helpful content for a lot of people even if you didn’t think so. Personally I like the idea of having guests on like many podcasts do from time to time to change it up but I liked a lot of their episodes just both of them speaking. Some of the segments like the tik tok trends from this one weren’t my cup of tea but just depends what you are trying to glean from the podcast. I’ve found every episode has some helpful nuggets in one way or another that is applicable or relatable

I’ve been loving the podcast! Maybe do the podcast with a random topics, just like a causal conversation with friends, you just talk about random topics and random thoughts throughout the conversation. For example today’s episode yall were talking about fall then to costumes then to sister things. Personally, i think it’s so raw and so genuine and I believe people are expecting that from this podcast. There were several repetitive things throughout the podcast (topic wise) and maybe like today’s episode is what people have been wanting. I hope this makes sense lol love yall 🖤
@MG-gm3jj2 ай бұрын
I think next season could really benefit from y’all starting off with a week/weekend recap every episode so we get more of your personal life aspect of the show. I think that would help to make it feel like a real convo w a sis instead of just jumping in. It could also benefit from real planned topics and segments so we don’t get the repetitiveness that a lot of ppl have commented. Example: “oh I saw a tweet this week that said (insert discussable topic here) what do you think of this?” Or “this thing happened in pop culture this week, these are our thoughts” or even we are in a time of a lot of current events happening so you could briefly discuss stuff like presidential election and world news in a lighthearted way in a segment. But I think the next season really needs more structure and unique topics so it doesn’t feel repetitive and/or more personal life updates on what you’ve been doing. This should help ppl feel more connected to the show! I enjoyed this season (every episode!) and I look forward to what you do with the next one 😊

It’s not that we want drama or tea… but when the conversations feel carefully said, surface level, tight.. that may deter people from being continuous viewers. We don’t want a self help podcast, we want to see your authentic personalities. The podcast didn’t seem to highlight that.

Yeah I feel the same way, it's so childish and immature to say that they receive negative feedback and that we want drama. Like read the comments literally no one asked for drama and there are almost none negative comments. And also everyone explained very detailed like a 100 times already that they just want rawness and no pick me lines or politically correct answers. I hate it when they can't take constructive critism and blame it on us saying we want "drama". Do it right or dont do it

The title of what my sis said makes me think of life advice too. What advice have you received from each other, what advice can u give to others? Some ppl viewers are judgy bc they think you're 'too perfect' and safe with your responses, but I think general life advice, tangent stories, and picking out the hardest/most emotional pieces would resonate. Also sometimes it's easy to respond and move on, but would great to see balance in exploring those interesting bits and challenging each other to go deeper. Rooting for y'all! I love you guys, but sometimes the conversations seem like they are all over the place. It’s normal to run out of things to speak about, but unfortunately it shows, & I’ve noticed that for every episode. This podcast has so much potential but it’s just all over the place and the energy isn’t there. Maybe you can stick to a topic & create subtopics to speak about. 😊

I personally think that most of your viewers love and follow both of you since you were in Ohio so we’ve literally watched both of you guy’s videos and that’s why it seems repetitive, because they’re topics that both of you have talked about on multiple occasions and there’s nothing wrong with that! I just think we were hoping to see your takes on different topics that you guys have never talked about before. Like some of the comments said talking more about your culture, bringing on guests, dating outside of yours race, what is your plan if social media were to fail? Also we understand Yas is a private person and I honestly don’t watch her as often as I do Naz but I feel like I know nothing about her. Again,totally fine but would love to see her be more open. Like when you guys were talking about the friend fallout we didn’t need the details or names but you guys could have talked about how that situation made you feel, like was it shocking to you, did you care, did you cry? Idk if that makes sense My favorite episodes were 2 & 8!! I hope you guys continue with the podcast because I miss both of you together 😊
