I agree, I like the conversational aspect of the podcast but at the same time I think it would benefit from having one cohesive topic for each episode and sticking more strictly to that topic. otherwise it’s easy to have the same things come up in convo and feel scattered.

Naz I would love to hear about how you and Mel share responsibilities with the kids. Or how you split your days so you both get work done without one having more “me time” than the other and not have conflict. Being a working parent is so hard.
@MakeupWithPassion16 ай бұрын
Yes stuff like this ❤️and especially since they’re a young couple with kids it would help us get some tips on how to deal with tough times together. I am myself a young couple and I can admit it’s not easy at all with having kids and taking over all the responsibilities and still trying to maintain a healthy enjoyable relationship with each other

Love you both, but I would love to see other topics talked about like finances, relationships, building high value friendships, etc. Maybe even an episode where people give situations similar to the “what would yas do” videos from back in the day and you can share your perspectives.

They already cover all that. They’re not going to give you specific life details for privacy reasons. Please consider them. At least they’re vulnerable to share something.

I think the reason that people don’t feel so entitled to celebrities inner lives is because they aren’t famous for sharing their inner lives. Influencers become famous for sharing their lives, celebrities become famous for a talent or skill of some sort

I love Naz and usually agree with her takes but I have to disagree when it comes to influencers not being “salespeople”. Influencers jobs are to INFLUENCE people to spend their money on products/services. Brands saw how much INFLUENCE a person on social media has to their audience to get them to run out a buy anything they deem worthy and they decided to capitalize on it. Now I dont think thats an “influencers” only job but its literally in the title.

Love Naz and Yas but I have to disagree slightly with Naz’s opinion on Alexa Demie vs Sydney Sweeney 1) Alexa is in a new show on HBO Max right now 2) The difference in their number of films doesn’t necessarily mean it’s because Alexa is private. In the acting world, if you audition for a role and are both talented and a good fit for the specific film/show, you’re going to get the role 😂 Zendaya is super private and she never shares her personal life and only really seen during press runs. And there’s plenty of other celebrities like this 🤷♀️ But I do agree the mystery thing doesn’t work IF you’re trying to become an influencer/content creator
@Lola-by9gq6 ай бұрын
@@pizzaraia1040 yes, I was going to include Taylor as well! She’s been blowing up the past couple of years and I actually think Taylor’s mystique adds to her “superstar” quality. Jennifer Lawrence as well. She doesn’t even have an instagram account lol

Influencers put their lives online as a job. Celebrities have jobs and as a result of those “jobs” their lives become blasted online. (Not that influencers don’t have jobs or that influencers need to post everything about themselves just the simplest way I could explain)

Being mysterious doesn't negatively affect one's career imo. I mean Cillian Murphy for example was recently in Oppenheimer lol and he's not on social media at all and he rarely goes to events. Maybe for influencers you need to put yourself out there idk. As for famous actors, I feel like they don't need to be all over social media and always going to events and stuff.

Yo, let them cook. The comment section is not giving.. How about, " I'm so impressed with the sound and editing of different angle shots." "The set makes me feel extra girly, you guys did a good job." "Naz you seem to have a business minded brain about the industry, would you mind sharing more?" "I look forward to your podcast every week" Online etiquette towards influencers/celebrities should be a thing because I can't stand people ordering around or being entitled to a persons creative entertainment. It takes time to settle into a craft. SISTER GIRLS, YOU ARE DOING AN INCREDIBLE JOB!

I appreciate you guys speaking on the topic of brand deals more than you know. I believe you are speaking on behalf of all of us, big and small content creators and even us retail workers. It’s important for Brand reps collaborating with influencers, and big companies to get this feedback. Myself who is trying to make it in the content world and works retail for a cosmetic store. ( Ulta) We constantly get told that a sales goal was not met. As you are saying Naz, likewise, I deem it unfair for the creator or employee for the goal to be unmet. For a company to take their brand growth serious would be not by pointing blame on the one promoting the products, but rather having a measurable metric either at checkout whether that be store front , online, somewhere (how they’ve heard about this product) or why their units per transaction (the amount of items purchased) have decreased in comparison to last year. There are many many factors. How can you have a target with an Ulta inside next to an Ulta storefront, during INFLATION and reports state sales are not where they “should” be. Huh??

I believe people feel entitled to influencers' lives because they share most of their lives online. Their audience knows that because of their engagement influencers will get paid. If their followers don't interact with your content will you get paid? On the other hand, influencers decide what they share with their viewers and what they don't. For example, when Naz decided not to share with us that she was undocumented until she was ready to share on her social media platform.

25:56 - I agree with you, Naz. Alexa Demi RARELY posts on her Instagram, and has a very limited social media presence. I see more photos of her on the Alexa Demi fan pages, than on her actual page. Perhaps she likes her privacy and wants to remain mysterious and behind the scenes, but she definitely could have cultivated into the limelight even more and had more movie/tv show deals, if she had an amazing PR Team the skyrocketed her social media presence and placed her in numerous interviews.
