Won't make any difference.... even 4-5 more 25 Bps BoC cuts won't make any difference either.... and very simply because there isn't sufficient 'gdi' or 'gross domestic income' deriveable from within $2 Trillion gdp to service/maintain the payments on the now $3+ Trillion combined Mortgage/consumer debt under any BoC policy rate maintained positive above the zero bound 2% inflation target(even an eventual 3% BoC rate).....against further now "debasement" based Debt expansion unserviceable within 'future' gdp capacity.... heading into still 5 million Mortgage renewals all at higher rates/payments than when initiated... and still maintain Canada's 67% consumer spending reliant gdp.(recession/demand destruction and painful deleveraging) NOT enough gdi money to maintain BOTH ! This is a Real Estate crash/correction.... Buckle up !

You don't know where the bottom is, and you don't know how long it will take for this housing situation to change, I would pay more attention to the economy and unemployment rate to get an idea, most people unfortunately don't understand that falling rates means a weaker economy. Tiff behind the curve 😮

Realtors are optimistically announcing this marginal decrease because they’re commission based, we get it. But let’s be honest, no one can afford to buy in this market and the ones who are can’t afford to either 😂 Let’s see a decrease in food, rent, gas, property taxes, hydro and reasonable house prices 🤡 Then we can celebrate! 🙌

Thanks so much for tuning in and commenting! The sad fact of the matter is that most major cities around the world are unaffordable regardless of where interest rates are at.. Toronto has become unaffordable as a result of a failure in Government policy ( at all levels) from taxation to, regulation, and immigration and everything in between. Unfortunately that's not changing anytime soon regardless of where interest rates are at and Toronto will continue to be increasingly unaffordable well into future with new homes pipeline being reduced to a dribble... As realtors our job is to serve our fiduciary duty to our clients and to provide the best advise on how to navigate this market during times of uncertainty, regardless of whether they buy or sell!
