Are We Getting A New Star Wars Trilogy?

Finally someone saying what I have been thinking. Seems like everyone is reporting this as if it is actually happening now. My thing is I don't believe anything is actually happening until Lucasfilm announces it. I'm not saying this isn't possibly in development but who cares? I won't until it's official. There are tons of things in development and so many will never see the light of day. To me this is just another thing for Star Wars haters to cap on if it falls through.

that's exactly how I feel about it. If I see a trailer or something, then I'll be a believer but even then we had an "announcement trailer" of Rogue Squadron with Patty Jenkins and then that fell through. We just have to wait and see, but I wish people looked at these sort of things with a bit of a level head.

From someone who isn’t a fan of the current Star Wars I will keep an open mind BUT I’d rather they start over. New characters and story. From someone who is a fan of old republic characters it is very possible to create new and powerful characters without tying it to the skywalkers. The possibilities are endless as long as they’re willing to think outside the box and take their time with the story. If they want to create a new hero that comes from a strong bloodline they can it to an ancient Jedi. Maybe Nomi Sunrider or Revan himself.

Dude I have not thought about Nomi Sunrider in years. I need to go back and revisit KOTOR and Tales of the Jedi comics.
