Wow, I haven't been able to find a pastor with the conviction this man has since I was a child.

Ps. Matt, this was an awesome message! I joined Sandals last summer when I moved to California and I'm blessed to be a part of this church family. I attend 2 groups, and they're quality guys, from all walks of life just trying to be better people - I need accountability especially now, and that's one part of the blessing of having those connections. The group leaders are well-equipped too, that's a feather in Sandals' cap. I deal with same-sex stuff and at this time, more than ever, I'm growing in peace with the truths of the Gospel; who God really is. I've been struggling to believe all the things I've learned as a Christian, and one thing is certain - He never stops working in us. Your message was super hopeful and I've never heard a message on this topic delivered so well. I think of like marching into battle. We understand it's a unique sin, but help us by fighting together as one. We long for healthy connections and it's difficult in today's world. We are being forced to believe the lie that it is an acceptable lifestyle. I went to a two-year Christian program for this issue (which I don't regret at all btw), and the leader of that organization left the church and now lives with his husband. It's so sad. I can't believe the lie though. The Holy Spirit convicted me a long time ago about this. At first I was resentful, but I realize now that I am chosen to be set free from this bondage. There are so many people suffering under the crushing weight of this sin, and all its broken accompaniments. I am no longer a slave to it because of the power of Jesus Christ, but I need Christian brothers and sisters to walk with me as I trudge the happy road to sanctification. :-) You are spot on, Ps. Matt, when you say it makes a terrible idol. I feel a lot of peace right now because I couldn't improve upon your message which was filled with the Holy Spirit. So, thank you pastor. Praise Jesus our Savior!

This was another message that God used you to speak to me at the perfect time. I appreciate everything Sandals has gifted me. So much knowledge of the Bible and of a rich relationship with Christ. Forever grateful for our church and our community. Beautiful worship as always as well.

Excellent Job. We MUST call sexual perversion what it is if we are to preach the Gospel. Its sin. One cant repent if one sees no sin in themselves. Having a victim mindset removes the Gospels power to transform lives because a victim cannot look inward at their sin, only outward at others who are the perceived oppressor.

I get it...but I get worried for Pastor Matt when he brings up the G word. Especially being in Cali. I know he's bold and unafraid of being real, but Lord please give him much strength and wisdom. I love hearing his sermons and I look forward to watching them weekly. Roll Tide!

@sandalschurch: Can anyone in the LGTBQ community serve in ministry in your church? Can they get married to someone of the same sex? If not, are your policies clearly stated?
@shanepennino55983 жыл бұрын
Seeing your video answered my question. You say you welcome gay people, but clearly you do not. It’s the ole “all are welcome here, but we are going to change you and show you what with think is wrong with you” routine.

@@shanepennino5598 you mean: "we are going to help you walk in accordance to God's will."

@@nourishedheiress After I looked, it looks like it is in fact stated on the website. (I’m surprised tbh) At least people in the lgtbq community clearly know where you stand.
